In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

It's official, screenings for the Martin Campbell directed super-hero flick Green Lantern have officially started and so far things are looking up for the film. While there is still an embargo that wont be lifted until approx. June 12th, meaning no full out reviews until then, that certainly hasn't stopped a few people from taking to their Twitter accounts to share their thoughts on the movie.

Robert Meyer Burnett, director of the HBO series Femme Fatales

David A. Arnold, Comedian/Actor.

Ashley Williams, reporter for Good Day Sacramento.

Natasha Eloi, SPACE channel reporter, & producer.

Of course this is just the opinion of a couple people but hey, it's better than having them say it was complete garbage.

After I posted this article someone sent me a mention on Twitter with the first negative comment on the film.

Cool, I still hate the design of the mask and am not a fan of Reynolds, but hell the CGI looks pretty good now so I'd b willing 2 give it a shot...

I have high hopes for this movie.
My only worry is that they will put too much humor in it...
other than that...
I think it will be great!

@Lert: while I do think this will be good effort from DC/ Warner Brothers, I would argue that Marvel has already been doing a good job for years now. And with the creation of Marvel Studios and Disney acquiring Marvel, things can only get better. I think though, that Green Lantern will break the curse of only Batman and Superman from DC, and pave the way for their other characters to get movies.

With you on this bud.I think alot of the arguments on this site could be avoided if people learned to write english correctly (Non English speakers excepted of course) so as to be understood properly.Sometimes it's nigh on impossible to understand what a commentor is trying to get at because their grammar has them talking in circles!

Marvel doing good...haha, funny. Pushing movies out the door and hoping the special fx swoon people is not a good job. Of all their movies, The first two X:Men r good, first two Spiderman movies, Ironman and if people r generous Ironman 2, and the first two Blade movies. Everything else is either average or fails and left up to personal opinions. Personally I enjoyed The Incredible Hulk more than HULK but HULK featured more of the title character and not so much damn Bruce Banner.

if the Marvel universe stays out of the "bubble-gum" industry to sway the teen-aged viewer.. please, im on board with both.. DC is doing that so far!
