Yesterday, news broke that writer and director Shane Black was to helm the Predator reboot for Fox. Today Shane, as well as John McTiernan, sat down with Collider to discuss the new Predator film.
"As far as Fred and I are concerned anyway,” said Shane.
“Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” The director explained that he's not fond of reboots but can
“really get behind inventive sequels”, further explaining that “
the idea of expanding and exploring the existing Predator mythology, rather than hitting the restart button.” This makes things even more interesting. Now the real question here is, will the film take place after the third Predator film or after the events of Alien vs Predator: Requiem? What do you guys think?
