We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.



The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

There was nothing believable about their relationship in the first movie. All they did was stutter, make awkward small talk, act cute, and talk about nothing except Peter. I'm sure there are idiotic couples out there that do act like this, but this is supposed to be taken seriously.

The whole plan to create a distraction is also really dumb in my opinion. Did that lady really not notice him shooting a web and taking her coffee? Peter should know better than to use his web shooters in a place like Oscorp, which should be filled with cameras. And as always, the security guys are more useless than a bucket without a bottom.

Several young people all are annoying, but definitely not all. Garfield and Stone might create a couple that the general audience might find cute; however, these personalities that they are showing are not how Peter and Gwen should be portrayed.

This is as close we can get to a high-school couple! This is almost not acting at all.. Andrew and Emma are dating in real life and you can tell pretty easy.

A lot better than Tobey and Kirsten's Soap Oprah / superhero love.. good movie though

Well-said! I did not really mind Tony Stark too much, but Pepper is just so annoying. Gwyneth Paltrow is annoying as herself and as Pepper.
I should probably stop expressing my dislike toward Garfield, Stone, and Paltrow. People are going to start calling me a hater just for expressing my disapproval over how my favorite characters are being portrayed.

Hey you know. this is a movie that features a character called Spider-Man right? You know, someone who can't possibly exist. That maybe you just need some suspension of disbelief for? The same way you do so for the comics the movie is inspired by and the same way you do for your name and avatar? Crazy concept right? Oh and the security would definitely detain a super-powered being. Absolutely.
