Set to star Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu, Clancy Brown, Warcraft will open in 2D and 3D theaters on March 11, 2016.

Woah it's filming? That's awesome. I'm actually really looking forward to this movie. Duncan Jones seems so passionate about it. I love directors like that.

So Colin Farrell dropped out of this?

I think this is going to be a train-wreck of a movie however many filmstars or megabucks they throw at this. Video-game films never do great (although I hope the Mass Effect film is an exception).

If a non-Tolkien fantasy movie succeeds at the GBO, we will see ALOT of great fantasy series' get the green light.

Wheel of Time (done right) would be special.

I'm really excited to see where they take this..hopefully it will fall under the grittier and darker side of the fantasy genre. There is some great potential in some of Warcraft's storylines to be pretty damn epic.

Never got past the 14 day free trial with WoW.
I know its F2P now, but the game is old. it isn't as fun having to play catch up with players who've been playing for 8+ years.

But ill check the movie.

When you think about the millions of people that have played the game, they have an extremely large target audience that will see this film. Glad to,hear it is moving forward. I hope they can do it justice. I never played the game, but love fantasy films involving the "sword...sandal...sorcery" theme.
