According to TVLine (and Marc Guggenheim), the Arrow will be adding some new toys to his quiver. Said Guggenheim, "In the season premiere, you’ll see a new kind of arrow. And in Episode 5, there’s another new kind of arrow we’ve never seen before. Season 3 is like a movie sequel, where he’s got new gadgets to play with!" With Wildcat(Ted Grant) set to make his debut on Arrow, played by J.R. Ramirez, what are the odds that one of these new arrows will be the boxing glove trick-arrow?

Speaking of Wildcat, Arrow stunt coordinator James "Bam Bam" Bamford has shared this Instagram photo of Wildcat gym. Presumably, this is the place where Ramirez's Wildcat will be training Katie Cassidy's Laurel Lance. It's been previously stated that Wildcat will "play a role" in Laurel's transformation into the Canary. Whether that actually translates into physical training remains to be seen.

I bet they'll make a boxing glove arrow, but the glove itself is gonna be small, like the point of like a lance.

Realistically speaking (well, somewhat realistically), a boxing glove arrow would only be feasible if it was just a small steel glove/fist shape. A big "boxing glove" just wouldn't be able to fly even somewhat straight. It'd be too front heavy. But a hard metal blunt arrow designed to crack someone's jaw seems reasonable.

good show cuz of the context n easter eggs.... if this show was called the vigilante and had zero comic book references... itd get axed... amell needs to talk like a normal human being and Thea needs to not overact every got damn scene

I can't stand Laurel...man I wish they'd kill her off already. Sarah is 10x better for Black Canary, I know thats not BC's real name but id rather it be her than friggin Laurel Lance. If Laurel replaces Sarah as the Canary then this show is gonna take a hit. Laurel sucks

Super 12- Laurel only sucks now. With good character development she will turn into a badass and people will start to like her a lot

I have been one of the biggest fans of this show, but I just can't seem to get excited about this season. Main reason being no Slade. He was my favorite part. Then no more Island. The contrast between the island and star city, gave each plot line different feels. Now it's seems like they are headed from one dreary city to another. Add to that the newness factor for some of the other cbs' s coming out(mainly Constantine), just took all the hype out of this for me. It's definitely still one the watch list, but it might fall from the live list to the dvr/watch it whenever list.

Boxing glove arrow is easy. It's a regular arrow with a dull tip. When that tip hits it's mark a boxing glove blows out of it like an airbag. Much less ridiculous, and it adds a lot of force to the punch as well, all while retaining the hilarious "you have a boxing glove arrow" thing.

The Arrow tie-in comic for this season showed the boxing glove arrow. It looks like a normal arrow, but in midair it puffs up into an inflated ball.

I wonder if there is any chance for the nitrogen or electric arrows. As for the boxing glove arrows I can see it working. Make it a metal glove and when it hits someone it can do great damage.

As for who they picked for Wildcat that isn't Wildcat at all. In the comics he's in his sixties. Look at people like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger both guys are in their mid sixties and you can easily still see them kicking butt. I personally believe they should have went with Mark Harmon. But that wasn't going to happen because he's on NCIS.

I have really enjoyed this show so far, but am losing intrest. I think "Olicity" is a terriable Idea and will drag the show down. Focus on what works good story telling, great action. At the end of season 2, Ollie was moiving closer to Laurel again, she knew his secret... Now we are doing a Left turn to make the "Fan Girls" happy with a relationship that is only doomed to drag the show down.

New arrows? Awesome! Yah, I wouldn't mind seeing the boxing glove arrow being used. It needs to be more than a boxing glove attached to the tip of an arrow though.

Laurel becoming Black Canary has been the plan since day one.

@megabatfan yep, it seems so. arrow writers mentioned laurel getting a new love interest this season and i guess they'll try ship her off with ted while they do olicity so they can pull off some random "it was who they needed at that time" story before they get back to green arrow/black canary.

but yeah, i agree. they need to tone down a notch with the loud olicity fangirl pleasing thing. it's ridiculous. and if they're going to let a random somewhat "new" character (because she's not /really/ comic book felicty smoak either) define the show then they're so wrong.
