Perhaps all the original actors from the first
X-Men trilogy are being recast after the time-travel machinations of
X-Men: Days of Future Past? James Marsden and Famke Janssen have both hinted that they're time as Cyclops and Jean Grey is over and it now appears that Daniel Cudmore's time as Colossus is over too. If the next X-Men film will continue the trend of alternate reality/time-travel and is based on the
Age of Apocalypse storyline from Marvel Comics, it will be interesting to see whether Colossus' role in the popular comic book arc is completely written out our reconfigured to fit another character in Singer's vision for the film.
While he apparently has no role in the next X-Men movie, 6'8" actor is still holding out hope for one last X-Men-hurrah in Ryan Reynold's
Deadpool movie. If the film is still based on the Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick sc
ript that leaked a few years back, there's a good chance that Colossus will indeed show up in the film.
