It seems Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak's arrival in Central City couldn't come at a better time for Barry Allen. The Arrow supporting characters will guest star on The Flash in s01e18, "All-Star Team Up", providing a clue that we shouldn't expect to see a finished version of Palmer's A.T.O,M. suit anytime soon as we're several weeks away from episode18's air date. With Palmer coming to STAR Labs to get help with his A.T.O.M. costume, it seems Barry will need to rely on Felicity's help and support to make it through some troubling times according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. "Ray needs a little help with his [A.T.O.M.] suit, and who better than Felicity’s high-tech guys at STAR Labs? It happens to come at a particularly bad moment for Barry. That’s partially why we did it. The first episode with Felicity [Episode 4, "Going Rogue"], she really came along at a time when her experience in being part of a crime-fighting team definitely helped Barry overcome what he was facing that week. Similarly, when she comes, he’s having a crisis of conscience that in some ways, only somebody like she can help him through.”
What could cause Barry to have a "crisis of conscience?" In the immediate future, Flash tangles with Pied Piper (Andy Mientus) and Peek-a-Boo ( Britne Oldford) but the show could be in a totally different place by the time we reach "All-Star Team Up."
