All 5 Suicide Squad comics in David Ayer's tweet are from the first volume of the series which was written by John Ostrander in the late '80s. Could these be an indicator of the plot of the movie? That's anyone's guess at this stage in the project.  However, we've identified the above comics for all you speculation enthusiasts out there.  Sound off below in the comment section with your thoughts and theories.  Suicide Squad is currently set for an August 5, 2016 release date.  Currently, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne, Jessie Eisenberg and Margot Robbie are attached to star/cameo.

So the movie will involve the SS taking down a dictator, and their existence is made public during the incident?

This is awesome.. Im glad Ayer will finally get the platform to display how good of a director he is. Been a big fan of his since I met him a couple years back and found out we shared a similar backgroung and up-bringing, we grew up in a hispanic community while being another race and seeming like outsiders to others, we both have a passion for screenwriting and our way out of our environment was to join the armed forces. I hope he does awesome and makes the best comic book movie ever!

2016 is going to be a crazy year.

Suicide Squad? best talented group of people DC has since Nolans? I think so :))

It's been a while (2009)- watchmen since DC is tracking for not just a film that will make money but quality of the film will be spectacular.

The New 52 suicide squad are pretty good IMO. Great TBH.

I'm glad Harley is not cast as some skinny as non looking liked her girl.
Or deadshot been cast as one of the awkward guys who created Facebook.

In David Ayers Vision. We trust

If these books are any indication of whats to come, the squad will be taking down a dictator, waller will be getting harassed for the formation of the squad, and we'll see a batman cameo

I can see Smith as Deadshot LONG before I can see him as Bronze Tiger.

Sometimes skin colour don't matter.

Well OK, skin colour NEVER mattered...
