Good! James Mangold is a great director, I'm sure this film will be even better than The Wolverine.

Isn't this The Wolverine 2? There's only been one Wolverine solo. You know besides those films with Wolverine & His Bitches.

I enjoyed The Wolverine (except that ending) but FOX's continuity is so EFFED up I don't know what to make of this. Will this be set somewhere between The Wolverine and DOFP? Or will it be a part of the retconned timeline? There's a chance that Wolverine will eventually have 3 solo movies and none of them will be sequels to each other. He'll have three movie are all non-related. What? How does that happen?

Wolverine is probably my favorite Marvel character...aaaand I'm not terribly excited for this. They might gain my interest back by finally giving him the mask and a suit that invokes the classic comics, but I don't know man. I'm all Wolverine-out. Have been for a while.

Jackman is totally dedicated to the role though. I have a feeling that if they gave him creative control, fans would see him in full-on Wolverine gear.

One of the biggest missed opportunities that has come about since they've leased the X-Men rights is not being able to do a Wolverine/Cap team up in WW2. That's realy the only time when I've thought to myself, "man I wish Marvel could use Wolverine." The dynamic of Cap and Wolvie is pretty cool. Logan is a badass but has tons of respect for Steve. I like it when anti-hero type characters recognize and respect Steve Rogers.

One of my favorite parts of Civil War is when Cap is beating the hell out of Punisher but Punisher won't fight back out of respect. Coolest scene ever.

Okay, let's try to figure out all this pesky continuity stuff. *cracks knuckles*

So Wolverine 3 would take place in the new timeline, from Days of Future Past? And not from the previous, ret-conned timeline that The Wolverine (and the rest of the X-Men movies) took place in, right?

So it'd have to fit in with the aftermath of Days of Future Past? But then it actually wouldn't have anything to do with The Wolverine OR X-Men Origins...which is weird.

But wait...when would Wolverine 3 actually take place? Like, what time period? If it's in the present-day, wouldn't that be a spoiler for whatever movies come after Apocalypse? If it's in the 70's, wouldn't that still be just as weird? But how does that fit in with the Patrick Stewart/Hugh Jackman team-up that's been rumored? Oh God, the headaches are starting again...

I just want to say again, (because no one seems to be noticing and commenting on it), Wolverine might have 3 movies with the same actor as Wolverine that are not based at all on each other. Not saying it's a bad thing, it's just confusing as heck.

@TheRationalNerd, was that ever a question? I mean really. It may not be official, but given their past decisions do you really think FOX would try to make an X-Men movie without Hugh Jackman?

Forget the costume, just have him wear a Steelers jersey for most of the movie.

@SauronsBANE

I think that Patrick Stewart may be the only clue we all have towards figuring out what timeline all of this will take place. My safe bet? In the future timeline we were left with in DoFP.

The wolverine, uneditied version was good but the ending was laughable. I cannot see any wolverine movies being anything close to say CA, the winter soldier, the people at Fox mindset is just different and less engaging as I would like to see. I wish them well.

Mangold is a sub-par director. If they really want this franchise to succeed, they need to hire a new director. Wolverine films need to be either Rated R or the very extreme PG-13. Wolverines very nature is ultra violent, so how on earth could you make a Wolverine film for children.
