LEGENDS OF TOMORROW's Ciara Renée And Caity Lotz On Hawkgirl And White Canary
Caity Lotz talks about Sara Lance's resurrection via the Lazarus Pit and how it will differ from Arrow's Thea Queen (Willa Holland). Plus, Ciara Renée touches on Hawkgirl's origin in Legends of Tomorrow.
At the Canadian TV Upfronts, Legends of Tomorrow stars Ciara Renée And Caity Lotz touched on their characters, Hawkgirl and White Canary and what fans can expect from the Arrow/Flash spinoff. First up, Ciara discussed bringing Hawkgirl to life. "The character I'm playing, Kendra Saunders, she's just sort of figuring out that she has this power - this overwhelming anger that turns her into a warrior. She doesn't quite understand it. She's realizing that she's had past lives, which is a weird thing to process. So, I don't think she's a superhero just yet but she does have something interesting going on."
Caity Lotz then touched on Sara's resurrection and whether Sara Lance will be altered by the Lazarus Pit. "We want to make it different, there's going to be changes. She's still Sara Lance but there has to be repercussions for everything that she's been through. I'm hoping we really get to play with that." Lotz goes on to compare Sara's resurrection via the Lazarus Pitt to Thea Queen's (Willa Holland) and touches on the fact that Sara was dead for a lot longer than Thea before she goes into the Pit, implying that the repercussions for Sara will be steeper.
In the video below, Renée and Lotz also playfully discuss having their own salmon ladder type training exercise in their Legends of Tomorrow secret lair.
