Billie Lourd's role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still being kept a secret by LucasFilm. However, Lourd did confirm to People Magazine that she's not playing General Leia's daughter in the film. However, Lourd's character is definitely rocking a very Princess Leia-esque hairstyle in the still so perhaps she's playing a young Princess Leia in a flashback. Fans have theorized that the film will recount Leia's rise to General in the Rebel Alliance and that Lourd's role to portray Leia in those scenes.

For now, Lourd's role remains a secret but we now know what her character looks like.

What function does that droid have? Are there monitors or equipment stationed that high in the facility that you need a long neck droid?

The original trilogy will always have the better looking droids. Lets hope the new films handle the aliens better, though.

Looks like they slapped a droid's head on the body of a protocol droid. I don't like it. Apparently, it's worthy of an action figure.

Conceptually that droid is very weird and makes no sense.

Why does he have a normal humanoid body and a THICK long neck with a giant head at the top?

I can't think of any practical reason for that.
It just looks very goofy.

Awwww you are right, but my crazy theory is R2-D2 memory is placed in BB-8 and than transferred back.......again a crazy theory!
