Relive The Most Epic Moments From 2015's Best Anime: ONE PUNCH-MAN

Last year saw loads of great new anime debut in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. However, the hands-down, standout favorite of 2015 has to be the adaptation of ONE and Yuusuke Murata's One-Punch Man from MADHouse. Mumen Rider FTW!

One-Punch Man is currently streaming on Hulu.
Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special” training though, he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch and it turns out that being devastatingly powerful is actually kind of a bore. With his passion for being a hero lost along with his hair, Saitama continues to effortlessly defeat new enemies every day, but how much longer can he keep it going?

One-Punch Man is a manga series written by ONE with art from Yuusuke Murata that revolves around the titular hero, Saitama and his everyday life as a superhero. In his quest to become strong, Saitama trained to such an extent that he can defeat any enemy with just one punch. The drawback to having such power is that Saitama is now bored beyond tears that he doesn't have a worthy opponent. Director Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy) will be directing the series while Chikashi Kubota (Gurren Lagann, Space Dandy) will design the characters. Makoto Furukawa (Aldnoah.Zero) will voice Saitama in the anime series, while Kaito Ishikawav(Golden TIme, Terraformars) will voice Genos.

If anything, OPM works as a parody of Man of Steel's Superman.

In my opinion One Punch Man is not only a great anime, but THE BEST SUPERHERO TV OF 2015, even better than Daredevil.

And I am serious....

My son got me to watch this Xmas break. Great animation and great writing. OPM is almost too powerful and I'm not sure how many other clan leaders that could exist for future seasons. Bicycle Man was a just a joke and slowly became a favorite.

One punch man must be really boring.
dragonator29
dragonator29 - 1/2/2016, 9:46 AM
@SpideyQuad: Its the reason why its such popular. IThe writers wrote a character who could be possibly the most boring character, into one of the most compelling and interesting character ever.

You should give it a try.

Not trying to offend, I was just going by the name. You can never tell intent with the Japanese.

@AtrocitusRL: Isn't that Green haired chick supposed to be hated? I felt she was purposefully written that way.

Woah Bicycle Man was not a joke if anything he was the biggest hero out of them all. He purposefully threw himself into danger to help people. While other heroes more powerful then him ran from danger he bravely rode to face it. He knew he wasn't powerful and that he could die any day out there but he didn't care. He knew he had to go out there to help normal people. Unlike so many other heroes in the series he wasn't jaded to the world or out to do it for fame or money. He truly believed what he was doing was right no matter the risk to himself.

@dragonator29- I know it's just your opinion but OPM better than Daredevil? Lmao, nah man. Also I agree with you pesmerga44, Mumen Rider was a bigger hero than any of them, as far as I am concerned, he's the only who displayed true courage throughout the series. He's also one of the only ones who was a hero for the sake of doing what is right.

@Desr0w Nope,we saw some weak villains that Saitama was fighting with.Goku would destoryed them with one punch too in his basic form.

That statement is so beyond stupid and hypocritical it isn't even funny. You are on a website dedicated to comic books and comic book movies and you are calling something out for being childish. Get the [frick] out of here with stupidity.

@Scorpion8125

Dude comic books were meant to be read by children are you that far stuck up your own ass to not see that. Your like a fat guy stuffing his face looking at another fat guy and telling him to put down the fork. You don't get to call something else childish. You don't have to like anime, manga, cartoons, toys, etc... but you don't get to call something else childish when you frequent a website dedicated to comics and comic book movies it is beyond hypocritical.

one of the few full realized promises of last year,DBS IS SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT(weak story and TERRIBLE animation)and another great work from MADHOUSE!
now the suffering starts.just hope that the wait for a new season doesn't take the time that AoT is taking to come back.
the wait for the new season of AoT IS TURNING OUT AS BAD AS THE WAIT FOR A NEW BERSERK CHAPTER.
