We'll keep these as rumors for now but
bleedingcool.com has received some rather interesting tips regarding Thor 2 and DC's Lobo---
Bleeding Cool was told recently that The Rock is going to play Lobo in Brad Peyton´s upcoming film of the DC comics. An untested, unknown source opened up correspondance with us, and told us a tale of “a Hollywood party” at which Mr. Rock was a guest, and told some fellow partiers that he was going to take the Lobo role.
But, as I said, the source was untested, so I went looking for corroboration in better known quarters. The story sounded a little unlikely, though so many of the true ones do. Either way, I wanted to check it out before passing it on.
Speaking to some people who may have, perhaps, had some good info on the Lobo situation, I connected to a friend of the site who was able to give me some Thor 2 bits and pieces instead.
Some of it we have to keep under wraps for now, but I can say, and with the utmost confidence, that you should expect to see The Enchantress in the film.
Which version of The Enchantress? Well… which version of Jane Foster did they use in the first Thor, eh?
As for Lobo? Dunno. Seems to make sense but I wouldn´t bet my shirt on it. Just hearsay for now.
What do you guys think? The lads over at BC are a little iffy on the Lobo rumor but seem to put a lot of stock by The Enchantress.
Thor 2 is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Thor, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2011's Thor and the eighth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alan Taylor is set to direct a screenplay by Don Payne and Robert Rodat with Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba reprising their roles from the first film. Thor 2 is scheduled to be released on November 15, 2013.
In April 2012, Hemsworth confirmed that filming is scheduled to begin in August 2012, in London, England.Hemsworth also revealed that Thor 2 will have a more Viking-influenced feel, elaborating "I think the science fiction element to Thor… the danger is it falls a little bit into the world of it's 'tough to throw a light to.' I think of big waterfalls and mountains and a Viking influence, where the Norse mythology kind of grew from. Having that in Asgard is going to make it all the more special and that's what Alan [Taylor] wants to bring to it."
