If you're like me then you were thoroughly pleased with Game of Thrones' depiction of The Battle of Blackwater. I thought the depiction of wildfire was spot-on and the addition of some new scenes more than made up for those that were not included from the novel. Now we have the news that the season finale of HBO's hit medieval drama, which has become the #1 rating series on television, will receive 10 extra minutes to sort through the aftermath of the battle and setup plot points for Season Three. Adjust your DVRs accordingly. What do you hope to see before the credits roll on Season Two?

Running Time: 60 minutes
Release Date: April 2012 (Season 2)
TV Rating: TV-MA for sex & nudity, violence & gore, profanity, alchohol/drugs/smoking and frightening/intense scenes

Game of Thrones is an American medieval fantasy television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Based on author George R. R. Martin's best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels, the first of which is called A Game of Thrones, the television series debuted in the U.S. on April 17, 2011. The production is based in Belfast, in Northern Ireland, and has also filmed in Malta, Croatia and Iceland. The show's cast is mainly British and Irish.

Highly anticipated since its early stages of development, the first season of Game of Thrones was very well received by viewers and critics. The series was picked up for a second season on April 19, 2011, two days after its premiere. It was nominated for several awards, including Outstanding Drama Series for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards and Best Television Series - Drama at the 69th Golden Globe Awards; Peter Dinklage also won both ceremonies' Best Supporting Actor award (Emmy and Golden Globes). Other accolades include an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and an Emmy win for Outstanding Main Title Design.

This season has been somewhat of a disappointment. Hopefully, they'll get it together next season.

We'll see, I guess.

Excellent... However there were a couple scenes I thought were executed very poorly. When the big moment happened though I was amazed.

The finale will, hopefully, end with the last Jon chapter in the second novel. Which is the penultimate chapter for the entire book. This would be so absolutely flippin' perfect. I can't even.

Season 1 was climactic episode to episode. It just kept going up and up and up in terms of tension and ended so awesomely with the hatching of the dragons.

Season 2 although still the best show ever....lacked the tension that season 1 had. The War is just dragged too long. We dont get to see much of Jon Snow or Daenerys' progression in their individual stories.

Great show, even though it deviates from the book a bit. Still a great companion to the books.

Thought season 2 was good, would hardly call it completely boring even though it was a tad "slower" than the first.

Very good season. Loved this episode. Renly's ghost was epic, Davos being right about the battle was epic, Stannis Slicing [racial slur]s heads in half, The Hound. Tywin walking in like a boss. Just epic.
