Anne Hathaway On A Possible CATWOMAN Spinoff

Anne Hathaway On A Possible CATWOMAN Spinoff

Did you love Anne Hathaway's portrayal of classic Batman rogue/ally Catwoman? Hathaway says she's definitely interested but only if the project has the right people and by right people, people named Christopher Nolan.

"If [Nolan] is interested then I'm very interested. I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it's with the right people," Hathaway said. "She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least."

Previously, Nolan himself has stated that he believes that Catwoman is deserving of her own spinoff film. Does his belief also contain a desire to personally see that happen? Likely not, as Nolan has stated that not only is he done with Batman but he's moving on from Gotham and all of these characters. But maybe Nolan can assume the role of producer and godfather the project as he is said to be doing on Man of Steel. Everything likely hinges on what Warner Bros. plans to do with the reboot. The ending of The Dark Knight Rises definitely left the door open for a 'soft reboot' similar to what occurred in The Incredible Hulk.

The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. The Dark Knight Rises is intended to be the conclusion of the series. It stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman. The film will take place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight and will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively—two villains from the Batman mythology.

Considering how TDKR ended, it could have more of an international feel to it. When In Rome style. Catwoman in other cities would be awesome.

I just can't see a Catwoman film working. If Nolan directs, which he already said no, it may do well at the box office because of his fans otherwise it's a failure I think.

I'd like to see a batman movie with more edgy comic based characters. Killer croc would be great, not to compare to spiderman but they did it bats can do it too

I love her take on Catwoman, but...no, thanks, I guess.

I'm still (oh, spoilers!) wondering why Juno Temple's character is just "Jen," and not "Holly Robinson," when she clearly is.

Then again, though, Nolan apparently prefers to create characters that simply are analogous to the classic ones. I'd still see her as Holly.

I might have been okay with this had we not already been given a Catwoman spin-off previously. And we know how that went.

I'm 110% sure NOLAN & ANNE are just saying!

Same as BALE said he'll be interested in 4th Batman IF Nolan's coming!
NOLAN said NO!

So same here!

Both are having fun!

Nolan is moving on!!
I can see HARDY as Bond & after seeing ANNE brilliant performance, I'm sure she going to a Bond-Girl!!
Just saying!

I thought she was excellent in TDKR. I wouldn't mind a Catwoman spin-off. But it's not something I would be anticipating.

Anne was an amazing Catwoman/Selina Kyle... I would have no problem with her revisiting the character in the future...

I LOVED her as Catwom- er, Selina Kyle, cat burglar extraordinaire.

As much as I wish for a 'Catwoman' and 'Nightwing' spin-off, I'm really satisfied with the finale of 'The Dark Knight Rises' and I'd rather leave Nolan's vision done and move towards 'Man of Steel' and DC's shared cinematic universe.

Can you IMAGINE how hard Marvel would rock movie fans all over the world if they had the rights to their whole stable of amazing characters, like DC and Warner Bros currently do?

I'm really glad that Christopher Nolan is the 'godafather' of DC movies right now because I think they've had issues with talent and inspiration for their projects.

Bryan Singer strayed so close to Donner's vision, it got stuck in Superman 1 and 2's gravity field and never took off on it's own. Martin Campbell was inspired, I guess, since I guess the intent was to bring a grittiness to Green Lantern's space opera.

They need someone with a cohesive vision of a world where heroes live and breathe and no one looks twice. I feel Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan are the turning point for DC in cinema.

After 'Watchmen', I'm looking forward to seeing how he handles Superman, seeing as Dr. Manhattan's gradual aloofness with humanity was a fascinating look at someone like.. Superman, yanno?

Sorry for the length and thank you for reading!

itd be cool, but i mean this series ended perfectly. I wouldnt want much of an expansion beyond the dark knight rises. The storys all concluded in an amazing fashion. No need to spin-off the franchise. Like i said, it would be cool, but no thanks

I think the Nolan trilogy should be left alone! Don't touch it! A Catwoman film, even though it turned out to be really good, would be unnecessary.

I don't know about this, the ending of The Dark Knight Rises with Bruce and Selina in the cafe in Italy was really good. A prequel might work, maybe something between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises showing how Selina became wanted by the cops.

If they would give her a better suit and make her actually adapt the Catwoman persona, I'd be in for it. I think she did a great job as Selina Kyle. That being said, I doubt it. I'm pretty sure we're not going to see these Nolan characters anymore.

No. As disappointed as I was, this really should be the final chapter of Nolan's Batman universe. No Catwoman spinoff. No Robin/Red Robin/Nightwing/ spinoff.

I always thought it would be cool to have a police procedural TV show about the small percentage of good cops in Gotham solving crimes caused by villains and crime bosses like the Riddler, Maroni and the Penguin.

They would be discreetly assisted by the Batman (kind of like when the Batman delivered Lau to Gordon in TDK), while navigating the treachery of crooked cops out to protect their off the books income.

You would never directly see the Batman but his presence and actions would permeate the atmosphere of the show.

Wouldn't that be cool?
