New ARROW Promo, Plus DC Villain Firefly Confirmed

We've seen Deadshot, Deathstroke, China White, The Royal Flush Gang, Huntress and a few other hints at DC Villains. Now we have confirmation that the DC Comics villain Firefly will also appear this season.

Here's a new promo for the CW's net hit superhero drama Arrow, showcasing what a few mainstream media critics thought about the pilot.

And here, we have a description of episode 10 of Arrow courtesy of Zap2It.

"Arrow": In episode 110, Oliver will meet Garfield -- a firefighter who was horribly burned three years ago, and never recovered from the trauma. Since then, he's been abandoned by his wife and kids, and he's now described as a "bitter, vengeful shell of a man." Meanwhile, the Starling City Fire Chief is also haunted by Garfield's injury... since he's the one who was forced to leave Garfield behind to burn.

Based on the description 'Garfield' is none other than Garfield Lynn a.k.a. Firefly. As far as the pilot goes, the show is a ratings success and most critics were pleasantly surprised by the show. Despite 1 and 2-star reviews here (maybe Arrow doesn't appeal to the international audience?), I personally felt the same as most critics, the show was a pleasant surprise and the pilot conveyed a sense of promise that will be up to the cast and writers to deliver upon in coming weeks. Look for my full-review in the coming days.

SYNOPSIS: After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be - flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle - while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

I don't care what anybody says. I enjoyed Arrow. Besides Smallville, Arrow is another one of my favorite comic book TV series.

People shouldn't take the opinions on here too seriously. Too many of the contributors are 14 year old boys with nothing better to do than troll. Anyone who says that The Dark Knight Rises was a terrible movie doesn't need to be paid attention to. Or that Smallville, a show that lasted 10 years, was utter garbage. The people on this site should be the ones that enjoy this stuff more than the critics or general audience, but that is not the case most of the time. Most of the time anymore I don't even read the comments anymore because it is nothing but nonsense.

@Koonel, basically all the comments on the internet shouldn't be considered seriously. They all done on purpose to make something not pretty pretty and something pretty ugly. (I'm supporting arrow, by the way, not that that matters.)

I like Arrow, it's a show with great potential. I don't pay much mind to reviewers as everyone has different perspective as to entertainment. They have a right to their opinion as do we all, but I'll make my own judgment on the shows or films I like, and I like Arrow so far and will keep watching.

The pilot was awesome. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

THIS IS DEATHSTROKE. And I really actually kinda dig the whole "hockey mask" look for the Royal Flush Gang, seems perfect for a bank-heist plus they seemed pretty badass in their bank heist scene from the sizzle reel. Deadshot is another i'm really looking forward to.

I really enjoyed the pilot. It wasn't perfect by any stretch, but what is. I'll continue to watch it as long as I find it entertaining. I don't watch things I don't like, which is why I have a hard time understanding the trollers on here. I loved Heroes for the first season. The second was weird, and the third was terrible. Guess what, I stopped watching in the third season and didn't go online to complain about it because it no longer mattered to me.

They should just rename this show Batman with an Arrow because they are using a lot of Batman villains to fight Arrow. That is probably because Green Arrow has some pretty crappy villains. I am looking forward to this show and the directoion it is going in and all the villains. Deathstroke is the main one I am looking forward to and I really hope they have him beat Arrow's ass.

Hope Firefly has proper costume.

Its cool to see them introducing villains like Deathstroke, Deadshot, Firefly etc. BUT i still think this would have worked better as a movie.
