As for a director... I'd definitely go with Brad Bird, Duncan Jones or Rian Johnson. Whedon would be amazing, but he'll be busy with Marvel until June 2015. Maybe he can direct Episode 8 though?

Ha, I figured Favreau would be bounced around! So stoked about the possibility here...assuming Luke is back (which I think I read on msnbc).

Im normally a docile person but if Bird,Abrams or Jones even THINK about looking in the direction of directing a SW movie,Im going to hollywood to kill them all!!

On another note...Millar SHUT THE [frick] UP.

J.J. Abrams would be a good choice to helm Star Wars. I would say Brad Bird, Rian Johnson, The Wachowski's are good choice too.

I'm soooo [frick]ing excited for this! [frick] off Damon Lindelof! I dont want Star Wars to have more questions than answers. I don't want the LOST/Prometheus shit going on. I don't want to be left unsatisfied at the end. Shit writer!

Okay, I see this as a fresh start. No restrictions. The groundwork was laid and now because of the AWESOME tv show, has vastly been improved upon. So, while I much rather learn Yoda's origin (Knights of the Old Republic era), this could be precisely what the franchise needs. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a Sith journey towards the light this time.

disney buying it seems gay however the prospect of 3 new star wars films has got me excited. whether it may be a new story set in the same universe or a continuation, either way it'll cool to see what becomes of it. i am personally hoping for a star wars film series set in the earliest days when the dark side as new and there were many jedi and the war - long be4 yoda - now that would be awesome, even in 3d too.

Once upon a time,
In a Galaxy Far Far Away,
There was a man with a robotic arm
Who lived with his sister the Queen
Their Magic Kingdom was under attack by
evil villains from an alternate universe
Led by Thanos the Mad Titan
and a little troll named Pip.

yeah i think it will work....!

Well, now they can do the Luc the Master waka-waka Jedi becomes the teacher to the children of the Han and Sexy ( probably its already done with comics, books or other complete ignorable shit.. But who cares?). I love just the original movie trilogy and didn't care about everything else( which was made just to grab the money from the fans of the originals).
Or they can go further in the timeline when Evoks join the Dark Side Of THE Force and become The Vicious Threat to the Universe!!!
P.S. Thanks to George Lucas for the Greatest Trilogy Ever Made (yeah not the LOTR!) . I mean it ! Even if George Cgied the old movies we still have untouched-Han shots first version(even if they in shity quality still works). Thanks for creating that and for the letting it Go! Maybe now some great directors will make some good to that great legacy that you left (don't comeback until we have the untouched version on blu-ray with apology letter in every copy).
So' let's get the PARTY STARTED!!!!

Hopefully we will see a well planned out campaign of things..I wonder if the first set of Timothy Zahn books are in the mix for this? Also to do sequels, do u set it 30 years later (seems a must) and do u cast Hammil, Ford and Fisher back into this as their older selves..assuming they would do it...which is a BIG if..As for Indy..Reboot and Recast..the character is an american james bond and could be played by other people..
