Django Unchained is the latest entry on director Quentin Tarantino's impressive filmography and it's also his longest film, surpassing Pulp Fiction (2 hrs 34 min). See the official runtime below.

"Django Unchained" opens everywhere on Christmas Day.DC Comics is currently working on the comic book adaptation of the film which features cover art from Jim Lee.

Jeez-- that's the same runtime as Dark Knight Rises. Sure, I was willing to sit still in a theater that long for Batman, but Jamie Foxx? I don't know...

... HA! Just kidding. It's Tarantino, for God's sake. BRING IT!

I was interested. But then Jamie Foxx had to call Obama "Our Lord and savior!" Really? I don't care if it was a joke, I believed that to be a racist comment by Foxx, joke or not, not only that, but blasphemy.

Sucks I have to wait til January to see this, guess I shouldn't complain though since we've had some earlier releases here in the UK too (like Avengers, and the upcoming Hobbit).

@PsyBoy it's a Quentin Tarantino film, they're always great!

Really DCK you take everything to heart? I didn't hear him say it but if he did it was a joke why get all mad about it and say it's "blasphemy" I heard people say worst things then that in my lifetime. Jamie Foxx is a hell of a actor the movie will be good

okay - that annoucement is something of a game-changer for my opinions on this film, to be honest I was expecting the Jackie Brown of "Post Kill Bill" era Tarantino. With this run time though there must be a lot more to the film than trailers have let on.

Sweet Christmas! that is good news. And considering ticket prices, why shouldn't more movies push the three-hour mark? If the story calls for it. Like if Avengers 2 really has the Masters of Evil, then they need at least 4 hrs. :)
