Ironhead Studios has a rich history in the comic book movie genre. The costume studio essentially takes 2D concept art and brings the costume design to life through sculpture and then actual fabrication. They also build more flexible and practical suits and armor for the stuntmen and stuntwomen. A report has come in stating that Ironhead will start work on The Amazing Spider-Man sequel next week while actual filming begins in New York in March.
So why is the announcement of Ironhead Studio mobilizing for production of the movie significant? If you've been keeping track of the development for the Spider-Man sequel, you'll know that Jamie Foxx has previously stated that he's already tried on his Electro suit. Back in November,
Foxx shared on twitter, " Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well." Since then, he's confirmed in multiple interviews that his costume is complete and that it'll be different from the classic 616-Universe depiction of green and yellow lightning bolts. In short, that costume is done. Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker already has his superhero costume complete, Ironhead helped bring that design to life along with Rhys Ifans' Lizard. Ironhead is either working on Peter Parker's new Spider-Man suit or their working on another as-yet-unannounced character. Maybe a certain Goblin? Casting call sheets have already revealed they'll be another
funeral scene in the sequel.
Think the Goblin shows up in the sequel? What are your thoughts on Gwen Stacy POSSIBLY not making it to the third film in the planned trilogy? Sound off in the comments section below.
