Never heard of this award before, but cool... I guess.

I wish that every awards show did their formatting like this. It really helps to show audiences what they might enjoy the most with the genre selections. Awards like these should not only award brilliant filmmaking, they should also help expose more people to movies that they may have never heard of before (hence why I hate the Oscars because most of the time the most overrated movie of the year wins, like The King's Speech).

Dredd should be just underneath The Avengers though, at second place on the Comic Book nominations, what a spectacular visual feature that was. Strong performances, awesome action, very straight-forward pacing (which is very rare for action/comic-book movies these days I find), and of course the effects are just stunning (all of the slo-mo death scenes sent chills down my spine). I know that some people wished it was a bit more jokey throughout, but I'm happy that they played it straight all the way through (which makes for great redemption after Stallone's horrendous take on the character). However, some of the violence you can't help but smile and chuckle a bit sometimes (sort of like Robocop, the scene where the guy gets blown away by ED-209 in particular is a prime example).

Hopefully the new Robocop can find some inspiration in Dredd's grittiness and make that film as fun as this film turned out to be; despite the weak marketing campaign for it.

Good to see Perks of being a wallflower and safety not guaranteed on there. Same with Moonrise Kingdom even though that's no big surprise.

Little bit nit-picky but I wouldn't call The Cabin in the Woods a horror movie. If it had to be lumped into that category to get some recognition i'll take it though.

Also, I feel like i missed something when i watched haywire on the airplane because i thought it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Had no idea RT gave awards though considering their role in the critical part of movies it makes a lot of sense.

Very pleased with all the winners. Moonrise Kingdom, Cabin in the Woods, Looper, Avengers, The Secret World of Arrietty... all well deserved.

Hell Yeah! Go Avengers! And I agree with Looper being the top sci-fi film this year. That award is well earned.
