THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Shoot Moves To The Cemetery

On location reports confirm that a cemetery scene is set to be filmed within the next few days of Marc Webb's shoot for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Previously, a casting call stated that another funeral scene will be shot in the sequel, who do you think it's for?

Olv has confirmed early casting call sheets that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to film a funeral scene in Queens, NY at the Lutheran Cemetery within the next few days. Expect a bevy of set photos to pop-up shortly thereafter and potentially give us our first glimpse of returning cast and crew. Remember that set photos for the first Andrew Garfield Spider-Man outing confirmed the death of Captain Stacy (Dennis Leary), are we headed towards more death in the Stacy family?

Of course there are plenty of other candidates as well. We never did see the funeral for Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and there's always the chance that it could be a flashback or the sequel could pick up from Captain Stacy's funeral in the first film.

If you're itching to get a proper glimpse at what's going on, check back on CBM frequently over the next few days.

The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will hit theaters May 2, 2014. Filming is currently underway and will be the first Spider-Man film shot entirely in New York.

Please keep us updated, I need to know if it's Gwens funeral so I don't have to bother pre-ordering the first screening tickets.

It could be Peter's parents funeral in a flashback

I can't at people getting mad that Gwen might die. It's like getting mad over Uncle Ben dying. Sheesh.

I don't think it's her funeral, though, idk why. Probably just a flashback.

I've been a Spidey fan since I was 4, watching the old 90s animated series. I've read (almost) everything from Amazing Fantasy #15 to Superior Spider-Man #3. I am Spider-Man fan incarnate. So I don't understand the hate TASM gets. I thought it really was a definitive Spider-Man for our generation, and I cannot wait for this sequel. I think Jeremy Jahns gives a pretty great review of the film.

tasm was such a completely forgettable film.

and that's saying a lot considering it had a guy with spider powers, and a giant [frick]ing lizard running around wrecking shit.

and no, the cutesy romance thing didn't save this film for me.

I'm still thinking it's Gwen. It's one of those Talia moments. The only doubts that I had with Talia is that Marion Cottilard flat out denied it. No more wil a flat-out denial be trusted.
Cumberbatch is Khan.
Gwen dies in TASM 2.

blackandyellow@ If given the speed it gains something called momentum. You do know that football goal posts aren't solid metal right? That football was thrown with enough strength and speed that it could've bent a HOLLOW goal post

@Jatevin: um, no. A LEATHER football will not bend a [frick]ing goal post. The [frick]ing ball would explode before it would bend that
McNyagano
McNyagano - 2/13/2013, 3:06 PM
People the argument why does a leather football bend a goal post is just plain stupid...It's a spider man movie for pete's sake, the guy dresses up in spandex and fought a giant talking lizard...He got hit by a train in Spider man 2 and survived i don't see anyone bitching about that -_-

The funeral scene is to bury the first movie.

@Durf... I get your point, a scene like that in a "realistic" Spider man movie is very cheesy but there more even cheesier moments in that movie cough*crane scene* cough, where Spidey got shot so he couldn't swing despite the fact there was skyscrppers around him..Pathetic...I can at leasr understand Peter strutting through the streets of New york in Spider man 3, at least there was justification for that.

Wouldn't be a spiderman movie without a funeral, pretty sure every spiderman film has a funeral.
