Original Costume NOT Appearing In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2?

The evidence supporting the notion that the costume from the first Amazing Spider-Man film would be making an appearance in the sequel has been debunked by Andrew Garfield stunt double William Spencer.

New costume Amazing Spider-Man 2

An earlier report stated that the old Spider-Man costume from the first Amazing Spider-Man film would feature in the sequel alongside the new costume that was recently teased. This report was based on a tweet from a stunt actor who revealed a picture of himself in the original Marc Webb Spidey threads. However, the stunt actor has since clarified his earlier post, letting fans know that the picture was taken on the set of the first Spider-Man film NOT the sequel which is currently filming on a closed set in New York. Of course there's still a chance that the old suit could turn up in the sequel but as of right now, there's no evidence to support such a notion. As always, we'll have more Amazing Spider-Man 2 news for you as soon as it hits the newswire.

Personally I want the costume from the first one to make an appearance because I hate when a costume change happens for no actual reason, If your not Iron Man then that thing should look the same. Thats why i'm hoping Thor's costume stays the way it looks in Thor 2 and if they do a new Cap costume and it looks better (Never had a problem with the Avengers one) don't change it

I hope they just tear up the suit so he can make a new one instead of "New suit. Need it. For no reason. Now."

I still think the old suit will apear in the movie. I think they know that just jumping into the new suit will look wired and unrealistic. I hope it gets torn up in the first fight or something!

That stunt double is retarded. When he was first asked if the costume was for TASM2 he only said some shit like'yep'. And it was obvious he didn't have the permission to spoil shit like that without Webb's authorisation. This is what happens when dumb [frick]s try to become part of the marketing campaign for a movie...he's the STUNT DOUBLE, and as far as I'm concerned he shouldn't even be tweeting shit from the movie.

@yingyangpalms No one I know who liked the old suit likes the new one. The Raimi suits were complete garbage and so is the new one. The ASM suit was perfection.

Nolan was smart to have the suit upgrade happen in movie. More cbm sequels should fo the same.

Wasn't there a pic a bit back of someone in a Spidey suit that looked like it was REALLY damaged, by (assumed) electrical damage? Wasn't that an older spider-suit? It's totally possible I'm thinking of something else...

I think it makes more sense to just skip to the new one. In TDK, Bruce had a reason to get a new suit for functionality. I can't imagine how ASM 2 would justify Peter designing a different looking suit that works exactly the same way. It makes more sense to assume that it evolved in the time between the movies since he would eventually need to replace it anyway.

Why is this a big deal? Whether it shows up or not, it won't make a difference. The only reason why it should show up is so the audience can actually witness Peter making the choice to update it, and even that isn't necessarily vital to the story. I'm indifferent one way or another. Seriously, though.....Mr. Stuntdouble Spencer needs to get his story straight for those of you who do care.

No. They can't just gloss over that. I need a Dark Knight-esque costume change. Also, the first suit is NOT that bad. I swear, some of you comic book fans will just die if everything isn't word for word and image for image JUST like the comics. Chillax.

The Amazing Spider Man movie is the equivalent of Twilight but in super hero form. When ever I have watched this movie I try to like it. It falls short of how great spider man really is. The Amazing spider man is one big turd from the people over at fox who are marketing this movie to tweens. All they see is dollar signs. I could just imagine the meeting. "how can we squeez money out of this movie, I got it we go after the twilight crowed"....
