Bryan Singer Teases Iceman's X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Look

Bryan Singer reveals behind the scenes VFX tracking shot of Iceman actor Shawn R. Ashmore on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Visit our X-Men section for all the latest mutant news.

It's pretty clear, the VFX tracking markers for Shawn R. Ashmore's Iceman are just on his face as he's wearing a leather jacket/hoodie in the snap above, not a full body VFX suit like the one Mark Ruffalo wore in The Avengers for The Hulk. This PROBABLY means Iceman will look more or less how he did in X-Men: The Last Stand. Some fans have clamored for Iceman to have a full-body ice coating in 'Days of Future Past' but that doesn't look to be the case here.

Note: Motion Tracking is the process in which software tracks a point (motion tracking marker, the orange triangles on Shawn's face) and helps the computer transform real-life geometrical contours, curves and movement into stunning computer generated visuals. What will those markers on Shawn's face turn into?

Great seeing Ashmore back as Bobby. He has great potential of bringing another performance as Iceman. Here's hoping that they go full-out on Iceman with ice spikes and ice-form. :)

An ice bridge is a must for this film.

I bet he will be as gay as they made Cyclops in the original trilogy and the fact he doesnt have a Mokap suit on and he rockin the leather means he will be a "badass" and proly be all ice underneath the jacket. a little 50/50 for ya. It reminds me as of like an alternate costume in a game.

That does not look like a shiny happy future at all. Looks like Kitty finally picked Peter and Rogue got a little cajun in her.... (though unless things got a little timey wimey after X-Men Origins: Wolverine, that'd make for some tough, old cajun in potentially vomit inducing ways).
KingLing
KingLing - 4/16/2013, 1:03 PM
And here I was just thinking they were going to digitally add some wrinkles for the post-apocalyptic future thing. Guess the ice-form makes more sense.
