Stan Lee On IRON MAN 3 And Marvel Studios

Stan Lee praises director Shane Black and Marvel Studios from the set of Iron Man 3. "I think the people at Marvel who are making these movies are the most talented moviemakers on the face of the planet," says the living legend.

"It really has to do with talent. I think the people at Marvel who are making these movies are the most talented moviemakers on the face of the planet. They hire the best writers, directors - like Shane, the best actors and they take what they do seriously. They go back to the roots of the comics and they say 'What made this script so successful?' And once they decide what that element or those elements may be, they keep to those elements. Other companies, they try to improvise and they try to change things but the people at Marvel are so intelligent and so literate and so well-versed in story and photography and in movies they know how to put these elements together. They're starting out with very colorful characters but if they put them in the real world and give them real problems, then everyone wants to see it. I know the characters and I can't wait to see the movies."

Personally, I think Stan is an immortal that will outlive Thor. But, Odin forbid, he passes on to Valhalla, will Kevin Feige be the new spokesperson for Marvel? I know he's just the president of Marvel Studios, but it seems like he might be the one to carry the torch, so to speak.

Is that a jab at Fox & Sony Mr. Lee?

Stan = The Man.

He's 100 percent right.

Notice the dig he took at DCE, Fox, and Sony for trying to change material.

@TayDee: Probably so. Fox and Sony are just butchering the Marvel characters. I want FF, X-Men and Wolverine to be right but I'm not holding my breath. First Class was good but the X-Men should be the easiest comic to bring to film and should have the deepest story around but they just can't get it right.

Nice I love this guy. Fox butchered X-men but First class seems to have turned things around overall. So Im actually optimistic about DOFP and the new FF. Fox isn't bad if you can forgive them and trust they will actually make good movies after the revolution of CBMs( which they have only made one). And what I'm talking about is post TDK and creation of marvel studios

Ok, just found it out. At first I'll admit my heart sunk a lil bit but now thinking about it, it's actually rather intelligent (now I know what Kingsley was referring too in that featurette video). Also, when you relate this to similar real world issues it makes even more sense. The media is used as a tool for propaganda, manipulation and misleading its audience. It's only realistic that at some point a villain would utilise this to greater effect. A nice little twist in my opinion. I wonder if the Maya one is still there?
