Paramount is creating a reality television program in China to fill roles for it's Chinese cast. With China now recognized as the second biggest film market behind the U.S., film studios are looking to create a larger presence in the country in an effort to secure screening rights from the Chinese government. THR report that the reality show will be headed by Sid Ganis and Lorenzo DiBonaventura and that they will be looking to cast four roles. The show has been titled Transformers 4 Chinese Actor Talent Search and will cast two professional actors and two unprofessional actors in unspecified roles. Paramount is partnering with Chinese film producers China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises, and expects to hit U.S. theaters June 27, 2014. So far, the Michael Bay directed film boasts an America cast of Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor and will roll film this summer based on a script from Ehren Kruger.
