Based on Warren Ellis' Extremis storyline and following the box-office shattering events of Marvel's The Avengers, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has become the target of global terrorist The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley) who has secretly been the mastermind behind most of the tragedies in Tony's life. Isolated from his fellow Avengers, Tony will have to devise his most advanced armor yet if he hopes to save the woman he loves, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Standing beside Tony as he takes on Mandarin's villainous allies and Ten Rings subordinates will be War Machine James Rhodey (Don Cheadle) who was conspicuously absent during the Chituari invasion in New York. Based on a screenplay by Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and Drew Pearce (Godzilla, Sherlock Holmes 3).

Nice!!! I was having some brainstorm now. Imagine if Iron Man 3 didn't have AIM or Extremis. But just Mandarin. Imagine some cool China trip. With fights in those big rooms ya know. Damn!
Minato - 5/3/2013, 4:21 PM
Done @5114king
charlie2094 - 5/3/2013, 4:24 PM
@LucasMend

I do think Iron Man 3 could've been better had it focused on either Extremis/AIM/Killian (more than enough there) or on the Mandarin solely, not both. When I first heard about them filming in China, I thought that might've tied in somehow to the Mandarin. Still really liked the film, would absolutely love to read these, been trying to track down some older Mandarin stories, surprisingly hard to find.
Jollem - 5/3/2013, 4:25 PM
the REAL mandarin
caveman - 5/3/2013, 4:34 PM
Hands of the MINO!
Minato - 5/3/2013, 5:05 PM
The same thing happened with Spiderman 3 where the fans wanted one thing and the studio wanted another but I think IM3 handled it a lot better.
marvel72 - 5/3/2013, 5:40 PM
got all three of them already but thanks for the offer.
OdinsBeard - 5/3/2013, 5:43 PM

Necroxide - 5/3/2013, 11:10 PM
I think the real Mandarin Chould exist ! like never show is self and allways take an 'actor' to represent him
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 5/4/2013, 6:27 AM
I want, I want, I WANT
TheCaptain - 5/4/2013, 11:48 AM
Yeah sorry twist lovers. I would have much preferred to see this on the big screen. Y'know, instead of Trevor Slattery and Killian/Mallen/Mandarin/Fin Fang Foom.
Chronorayven - 5/5/2013, 8:56 PM
Nice :)
MrMartinMarvel - 5/6/2013, 3:07 PM
Let the Mandarin bitching begin!
CaptainAmerica31 - 5/6/2013, 4:20 PM
Woah! The mandarin isn't an actor!?!? Whaaaa?
LAXtremest - 5/6/2013, 4:38 PM
Hands of the Slattery. Enter the Trevor. I can't wait until Marvel finds a way to throw all this bullshit into their books now.
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 5/6/2013, 4:39 PM
Can never enter too many times
kappakappashred - 5/6/2013, 4:45 PM
@ironman3023 i've got that one, the art is amazing
exe - 5/6/2013, 4:49 PM
These comics are just a reminder of IM3's failure and what a great villain could've been.
BarackObama - 5/6/2013, 4:50 PM
@LAXtremest I agree. I'm fully expecting Mandarin to change in the comics, as to "not confuse the casuals". I know Marvel likes to put characters from the movies in comics at the same time, but I hate when changes from the movies change the comics. That should not happen.

Of course, then there's Guardians of the Galaxy, where Abnett & Lanning's modern GoG comic was a fan favorite cult classic among cosmic Marvel fans. It gets cancelled because it never hit mainstream success and sales were somewhat low (while reviews were high). But somehow it gets to be a movie, but no it doesn't, we get Bendis's changed reboot comic, and it gets to be a movie before issue #1 is even out >_>
LAXtremest - 5/6/2013, 4:56 PM
The first time I can actually as this: I agree with Obama.
HULK2099 - 5/6/2013, 6:55 PM
Damn i really want the three of those
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:18 PM
Sure hope I win... don't have any Iron Man comics, let alone these little gems!
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:18 PM
Let's see Whirlwind and Mr. Hyde as the primary villains in Avengers 2. They can be in love.
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:20 PM
Plus Gusto can play Lightning Lad!
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:20 PM
One time I was struck by lightning...
LAXtremest - 5/6/2013, 7:20 PM
I see I finally have another hockey fan amongst us...
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:21 PM
...TOTALLY worth covering myself in tin foil and climbing up that redwood tree.
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:22 PM
But all in all, I learned a few things about self-confidence, hard work and friendship. I even got invited for dinner with a group of squirrels in their tree hole!
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:23 PM
Admittedly, it was a tad bit crowded...let's just say a couple squirrels got the WRONG idea.
KalebAmos - 5/6/2013, 7:23 PM
S'all good though! :D
novaprime - 5/6/2013, 8:46 PM
Sad that the Movie Was Terrible and These Comics Are Great!!!
Bodwulf - 5/7/2013, 1:00 PM
Would love to see the movie version of Mandarin in the comics. Goes to jail and picks up followers who still think he is the real deal. Taskmaster would go great with him!!
