Courtesy of IGN, we also have some new game details. Roger Craig Smith, who has voiced Ezio from Assassin's Creed and Chris Redfield from Resident Evil will be voicing Batman, NOT Kevin Conroy. Either, the game will feature flashbacks and we'll have an older and younger Bruce Wayne in the game and therefore both Conroy and Smith or Conroy is actually working on RockSteady's Silver Age Justice League video game, not Origins.

The Joker is also confirmed to appear in the game but he's also voiced by a different actor, Troy Baker.

Other villains confirmed are Bane, Deadshot, Anarky, Black Mask, and of course Deathstroke. The box art also features Killer Croc and Penguin.

GAME INFO:
-Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel story set during Batman's Second Year of crime-fighting. The story takes place on Christmas Eve night.

-Game developers have said that Batman is experienced but he's not the veteran crime-fighter from the first two games in the Batman: Arkham series. With the story taking place early in his career the Gotham City Police Department aren't quite sure what to make of Batman. And up till Christmas Eve, the Caped Crusader has only faced normal thugs and criminals. That all changes when Deathsroke the Terminator comes to town leading a band of mercenaries that have all been hired to kill the Batman.

-The game will include a fast travel system where Batman can summon his plane, the Batwing, to transport him to other areas of the game world quicker than gliding or grappling can allow.

-RockSteady makers of the first two video games in the Batman: Arkham series did not return for the prequel. WB Games Montréal took over developer duties but used the same modified gaming engine that their predecessor used.

- Paul Dini of Batman: The Animated Series fame also did not return as writer. The story is written by Dooma Wendschuch and Corey May who had input from Geoff Johns.

-There are unconfirmed rumors of multiplayer at this time.

- The soundtrack for the game was inspired by the 1988 action film Die Hard which also had a Christmas theme.

- Pre-order DLC will allow gamers to play as Deathstroke.

-Batman: Arkham Origins will be released October 25, 2013.

Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, the first two critically acclaimed games of the franchise. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships.

you will never see such batman in a movie, nolan's or somebody else. He is human and when it comes to movies, people won't buy such super-powered batman. few fanboys may scream like girls but larger audience will laugh at it.

..... Just .....

F**k!

Personally, and I have been saying this since Arkham City, I think they should make a JL movie just like this. Fully cgi. Avatar style. You can't go wrong.

I thought Kevin Conroy was voicing Batman again? Because apparently Roger Craig Smith will be Batman's new voice actor and Troy Baker will Do Joker's voice.

DKReturns called... it wants that part when Batman pulled a thug through floor back.

Also the Nolan gauntlets with sharp fins being used to tear swords apart. Familiar, haven't you learned anything new?

There are too many Nolanisms to name really. Why not just make Dark Knight trilogy game and call it a day?

I still can figure out for the life of me why DC or Marvel won't make an animated movie with this type of animation??? It looks amazing, I would love to see The Sinestro Corps War or Word War Hulk done like this, but the game looks sick and I'm gonna be all over this when it comes out!!! Anyone else notice that Deathstroke is getting a lot of love lately I wonder if DC is gonna make him the villain in any of their upcoming movies.

Looks great

Yes, let's compare CG animation to live action film making. Lets compare setting up a plot structure in a film for a wider audience to coming up with something cool for a niche market video game.

Batman is one of few CBM characters who has fantastic movies, fantastic games, AND fantastic TAS'. Look at Green Lantern with a shitty movie, no games, and a cancelled TAS.

Greedy SOBs all of you.

The voice of Ezio as Batman? Sounds good to me. Conroy is the best, indeed, but I'm all for a different experience - hearing different Batman voices in multiple mediums is fun. Also, Troy Baker as the Joker sounds interesting, as well.

looks great . . . but why don't they call it Batman: Assassins?

What does this have to do with Arkham?

Batman Begins vibe all over this. Breaks the sword with his gauntlets, fight at a shipping yard, I'd even bet we see the Joker at the very end. Pumped.
