Henry Cavill On A Batman/Superman "WORLD'S FINEST" Team-Up Film

From all the featurette, trailers and promos it looks as if Warner Bros. has a sure-fire box office hit on their hands with Man of Steel. However, the fan community is a place where information is highly prioritized, specifically information on what's coming next down the pipeline. In that respect, many DC Comics fans want to know what's coming next after Man of Steel - is it a Justice League film, a Man of Steel sequel or something else entirely? Speaking on one of those possibilities (with SFX Magazine), Henry Cavill comments on what he'd like to explore in a possible team-up with Batman.

"I think it would be really interesting with the age-old Batman/Superman conflict because they are two different sides of the same coin and their methods are entirely different. And I think it would actually make for an interesting story as to why, first of all, they were going head to head and how. I think that would make a great story. Who knows, I’m sure there’s all sorts of ideas being thrown around at Warner Bros right now."

This seems more plausible, to me, right now rather then a justice league film. Superman and Batman are both big successes and if they did a film with those two alone, it would destroy any record for highest grossing films as both are huge name characters! Make it happen, seeing as the justice league film is constantly on hiatus...

It would be cool, but I would need a convincing reason for them two to just suddenly meet each other, same way with justice league,in man of steel he is the first alien to be ever seen, yet a lot of JL characters aren't even from earth,so are they just going to suddenly exist and people know about them,or are they going to be like oh [frick] first a super alien now someone from mars, and then how would all these character even know about each other, specialy if they are going straight to the JL knowing each other, without any explanation of how they get together,I'm usually good with how films should turn out but even I'd be scratching my head at that one, wonder what way they go

SFX made an exclusive out of a single topic? What they just thought they would ring up HC and randomly pop this question? Yeah, studio planted article for sure. Gauging interest for this.

Well I for one don't want to see a VS type movie between these two. World's Finest? Yes please! Bats VS Supes? No thanks.

Too bad alot of the general public would view this as a rip off dynamic from the Captain America / Iron Man interaction.

Did you know Superman and Batman teamed up before marvel thought of anything!!!

Also Justice League was formed before Avengers....Marvels answer to JL was the F4!!!

Maybe you should read my comment again. Keyword = GENERAL PUBLIC.

Fanboys who are aware know of that point. And BTW, the internal team struggle dynamic started in the Avengers first. That's fact.

General public can [frick] off, who the [frick] would hate a Batman/Superman movie?

I doubt Joe Slack would go " Gee, Wolrds Finest looks like the Avengers. Not gonna see it"

JOLLEM

Two iconic superheroes who are not really friends form a somewhat uneasy alliance team-up for the greater good to battle the bad guys.......yeah, ok.

Just like how people won't see a Justice League film as a response to The Avengers film. Lol. Take the blindfold off for a little bit.

A World's Finest movie would be perfect for building up to Justice League. It would serve as both a Batman reboot and Man Of Steel sequel in one film. I'd actually prefer it to be the next DC movie.

PaulRom
PaulRom - 5/23/2013, 6:32 AM
Oh, and just because two heroes are fighting but then have to team up doesn't mean that it's ripping off The Avengers. I can see how people may think Justice League will be a "rip off", but simply put, it's not (or shouldn't be at least).

Wanna know what's better than a Superman/Batman team up?

But, I would rather see this

Ah well, Man of Steel does look good. Would rather see Justice League than World's Finest.

From what I understand, there was talk at one point of teaming Michael Keaton and Christopher Reeve together before Reeve had his accident. I think World's Finest would be a great stopover on the way to Justice League. I'd also like to see a Brave and the Bold with GL and Flash, but I'll take what I can get.

This DC vs Marvel crap is really puerile. Both companies are great for different reasons. Different types of characters, different types of stories. Leave it at that and have a coke and a smile.

Henry Cavill's Superman teaming up with Batman based off of the New 52 would be really cool. I also found this on youtube, this would've been cool too.
