COMICS: Preview Art For X-MEN #2

Preview pencils and solicitation for Brian Wood and Olivier Coipel's all-female X-Men #2. A creation from Grant Morrison's run on the X-books makes a return but that's only part of the story.

The school is on lockdown...but if the bad guys can’t get out, neither can the X-Men!John Sublime is back, but is one of the X-Men’s scariest villains not who we should be afraid of?Who or what is Arkea?

Storm looks to be a key figure in the book, but what about a solo series for the character. Marvel Comics E-I-C Axel Alonso said there are no plans currently for such a series. "Storm is a key part of "X-Men," "Uncanny X-Force" -- edited by the second biggest Storm fan in the world, Daniel Ketchum -- and "Wolverine and the X-Men," so those are the places for Storm character stuff. No plans for a solo series of any sort right now, though.

Looking Good! Also, I'm glad to see Hellion and Pixie finally get some love instead instead of bizarre characters like Glob, Eye-Boy, and Shark Girl.

@totalchaos57 God, I hate those 3. I can deal with Glob, but the new heroes in Eye-Boy and Shark Girl. I could throw up a better idea than those two. Glob has been around for a little bit at least...doesn't make him any better though.

This is the kind of art I like to see. Refreshing from some of the crap artists I've seen.

Olivier Coipel's art makes me smile. Absolutely beautiful! Wish he'd stay in 1 title for longer than just 1 arc.
