Late yesterday (or afternoon/evening if you're on the West Coast), Square Enix surprised fans in attendance with the official unveiling of Kingdom Hearts III. Combined with a $100 less initial price point, many fans thought the PS4 may have just KO'd the Xbox One before either system would be released. But a new report coming after Sony's presentation states that Kingdom Hearts III will also be available on the Xbox One along with Final Fantasy XV. Square Enix also confirmed post-presentation that the development team behind 'Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep' and 'Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix' will be handling Kingdom Hearts III. The official PlayStation blog confirms that Kingdom Hearts III will feature an older Sora who sets out on an adventure with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and other favorite Disney characters.
"Believing light and darkness must remain in balance, Master Xehanort seeks to spark war against the ‘tyranny of light’ to restore equilibrium.
In an effort to undermine Xehanort’s plot, Sora, Donald and Goofy search for seven guardians of light and the “Key to Return Hearts,” while King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade wielders."
