The pilot episode for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. just finished screening in San Diego Comic Con's Hall H. We already learned who J. August Richards is playing thanks to an earlier review, but the fan disappointment there was barely an issue it seems.

Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television."

Looking forward to this show. They said before that characters like Luke Cage would of gotten introduced in the Jessica Jones show. Since Richards isn't playing him, I wonder if they changed their minds. I mean, I wonder if they will more likely introduce him in a film.

Great, I'm excited. Oh and, nothing related to this, but I recently read a collider article regarding the rumoured GOTG roles; and one user commented that Djimon Hounsou also has a role in the movie playing Korath...

@Deadpool So you don't care about the main characters of the series getting character development, but want 5 Luke Cages' per episode without plot placement. Your argument is invalid, and you don't understand the TV Show.

Very cool. Gotta be the new show I'm looking forward to the most. And nice about the reactions. But to keep it balanced, I was at SDCC when the screened Mallrats, and one would have thought it would be making $50 million in the box office. Con reaction can be misleading sometimes.

I never trust the nerdlingers at SDCC. They'll cheer a stick with shit on it if Joss Whedon was carrying it. I'll wait to see the pilot myself.
