RUMOR: Heath Ledger to Cameo in The Dark Knight Rises?

Wow, that would be amazing if done right. Would be good to have a "cameo" of Heath on that, not only for continuity but for a tribute to him.

He died and it was tragic, but come on people.

The Joker has been played by so many actors, give someone else a try. If Bale died, would they not re-cast someone else as Batman?

Nolan Will Do it Good Taste and Respect..

I remember reading that Nolan removed some scenes and footage from TDK specifically for this purpose. I also remember reading that at the time (pre-release of TDK) Ledgers family already gave Nolan the go-ahead to use the scenes and footage in the next film. I'm trying to find the article in my archives, and if I do I'll post it.

I'd love to see some more of Health as the Joker! Here are my thoughts (as if they mattered) on what I want to see. Maybe a scene in the beginning of the movie with him getting admitted to Arkham and being transported to the maximum security wing by a handful of doctors including a young blond official looking woman holding a file on Joker wearing a Dr. Quinzel name badge. Maybe he winks at her and then asks her if she wants to know how he got his scars. And then maybe at the very and of the movie we get another scene at Arkham. Its the middle of the night and we see the same Dr. Quinzel sneaking back into the the maximum security wing. She starts humming, walks (maybe the occasional schoolgirl skip thrown in) down the corridor. As she walks we only see her from the small of the back down. Maybe we even see a shadowy figure in another cell flipping a coin in the air as she makes her way to the Joker. When she reaches his cell she knocks lightly on the door and then screams "MR. J!!!!" as the camera pans out we see the Jokers eyes open and his scarred smile flicker in the moonlight. We then hear his maniacal laugh echo Arkham as they pan farther and we see Dr. Quinzel now in pigtails and HARLEY gratuitously scribbled over her name badge. END MOVIE.

All you need is a scene with a young female therapist walking out of a room, with strange hearing ledger in the background speaking. the dr claims that joker is the real victim and they can't speak with him at the moment as she is having break thru and she returns to the room closign the door.

everyone would get to see quinn for a few secs, for next film or towards this films end.

Just recast him already. Yes, he was great, but he is now dead. Why should we as fans be cheated out of one of the greatest villains of all time because the last actor was a drug addict. Yes, I said it, DRUG ADDICT. No one can ever play the joker again cause he couldn't kick that shit? Doesn't seem right to me, I agree with a previous post, if Bale died they would certainly recast him.
