Following some pretty exciting promos for the second season for The Flash, the show has released a brand-new behind the scenes look at the second season's upcoming premiere episode.

The video shows a rather humourous look at a pre-CGI Atom-Smasher, some green-screen jumping, The Flash being beaten by the aforementioned Atom-Smasher, Flash taking down Heatwave after using his gun against his partner-in-crime, Captain Cold, and The Flash at S.T.A.R. Labs - with a backwards lighting bolt emblem? Is this simply just a case of the video being mirrored, or is there something more at play here? Only time will tell, but you can check the video out for yourself below:

While the video doesn't provide us with much new information, it is nice to see Captain Cold and Heatwave in action in the next season, and we now have confirmation that they will be showing up in the season's premiere episode?

What did you guys think of the promo? Are you excited for season two of The Flash? Let me know in the comments below, and be sure to share and hit that thumbs up!

The Flash returns with it's second season on The CW on October 6.

Following the defeat of Barry Allen's arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash quickly turned their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but will he actually be able to save his city from impending doom?
