Warner Brothers have given us our first look at the dwarves from its upcoming movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The photo includes Jed Brophy as Nori, Adam Brown as Ori and Mark Hadlow as Dori.

Warner Brothers also offered up this description of the Dwarf brothers:

These three brothers, all sons of the same mother, could not be more different from each other. Dori, the oldest, spends much of his time watching out for Ori, the youngest; making sure he’s not caught a chill or got himself killed by Wargs or Goblins. No-body quite knows what Nori gets up to most of the time, except that it’s guaranteed to be dodgy and quite probably, illegal. Dori, Nori and Ori are intensely loyal to each other – and whilst they are perfectly happy fighting amongst themselves, woe-betide any anyone who means harm to one of these brothers.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theater on December 14, 2012

They do look like they are plastic mockups. I guess the photos have had to be tweaked quite a bit to create the picture.

I'm sure they are gonna look great on film ad loving the designs.

@marvel72, I'm gonna have to start saving now for all the money i'm gonna blow at the theater next year. Looking at your list i see about $140 dollars worth of tickets. and that doesn't include all of the junk food i'll buy at the theater or pot I'll smoke before going into said theater...

johan@ It's his hair and I don't have any issue with it. Look at Gimli's beard.

DAHAMMA@ The Hobbit is Tolkien's original story and prequel to the LOTR. It is the story of a young Bilbo and how he came to find the ring and the adventure that follows.

They're just publicity stills...Dwarves are messy and weathered, not elegant and prissy like Elves.
