Warner Brothers has found its man to direct the upcoming spin off the the hit movie
300.According to
Heat Vision Noam Murro(Smart People) will fill the role of director for
300: Battle of Artemisia that will be based off of Frank Millers Graphic novel that will be release later this year. Zack Snyder has written the script with Johnstad with a the intention of shooting the film in the same style that Snyder did with 300.

Warner Bros. has zeroed in on Noam Murro to direct its 300 spin-off, 300: Battle of Artemisia (formerly known as Xerses). Murro was vying for the gig with Jaum Collet-Serra, the director of this year’s Liam Neeson thriller Unknown. But Warners, which liked both directors, in Solomon-like wisdom divided up gigs for the filmmakers, yesterday handing Collet-Serra the adaptation of Akira. An official offer to Murro is expected to be made early next week.
In the graphic novel the story takes place about 10 years before the original
300. The story will central around Xerses and his quest for godhood after the death of his father. The story is suppose to take place over many year but will focus on the battle of Artemisium.
No word on casting or a release date.
