do you guys know why Lone ranger uses silver bullets???? it's because his dad was a silversmith and when he was robbed and killed by a villain named Jehoshaphat Chillmorgan he used them as a symbol to remember why he fights crime....could be?

Pretty much echo what has already been said. They can't cast a Native American for Tonto, but extras and other roles it is okay. And for those who say Depp has Cherokee in him....so do a lot of people...like me and I am as white as they get. It doesn't make me or them Native American.

I just can not get past the fact that Tonto is being played by Johnny Depp. When I see Tonto I see an actual Native American not Jack Sparrow. I mean Depp doesnt look like a Native American to me, he looks like a White guy. I'm sorry, I just don't buy it and I don't think any amount of acting will change that in my mind. However, if they did drop the dumbass Werewolf idea and make it an origin story then I'll give it a chance.

Are we sure this isn't just some brilliant ploy for a studio to make another teen werewolf movie remake. Perhaps cast Zach Efron as Marty, Dakota Fanning as his sister and then Nic Cage can be Nick Nolte's character. I do think it's time we got a new rocket wheelchair on the big screen though.

My friend who happens to be African American claimes he is Cherokee. He also claimes that he was named after Benjamin Franklin as well. Yeah the same "WTF?"question poped in my head too.

How the hell is Johnny Depp Native American, that is some crap that he pulled out to make this his role. He has played the same type of character in his last few films he is just as bad as Nic Cage but more marketable.
