VIDEO GAMES: Photos of Canceled JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL Video Game

As most know George Miller was set to helm a DC superhero team up movie titled Justice League Mortal, but what most didn't know is that there was a video game that was being worked on to tie in to the film as well. Check out some of the images here.

Way back when George Miller was set to make his version of a Justice League movie game studio Double Helix was set to make a video game adaptation for the film. Once the game got canceled Warner Brothers decided to let them continue on with the project until they ultimately scrapped it. The people over at Shogun Gamer have come across some new imaged from the game that we uploaded by artist Jonathan Gwyn who served as the lead artist on the game. Check the images out below.

The game was set to be a third person brawler type game, similar to what we saw with the Green Lantern game. No word on what the story would have been had they went through with the game but based on the screen shot it looks like The Flash's rouge gallery would have been involved some how.

The Justice League Mortal film would have stared D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as The Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne Martian Manhunter.

Those designs are most likely not based on what the movie would've looked like. Seems too much like the comic look.

So this is what D. J. Cotrona was going to look like?
JohnnyKrypton
JohnnyKrypton - 4/3/2012, 11:17 AM
^^ Nope, it was fully live-action, and incorporated Max Lord, Brother Eye, and the Tower of Babel story ideas, along with Barry Allen sacrificing himself and Wally West becoming the Flash

Rocksteady should do a Skyrim sized Justice League game, after a third Batman and a Superman game that is ;)

Why aren't they giving it another shot rather than talking about what didn't happen? Showing us what COULD'VE been looks cool, but it's ultimately pointless.

Why are most of us talking about his canceled movie rather than the topic at hand?

I wish they would show us some pics of the actors in costume.Armie Hammer confirmed all the actors wore their costumes at one point and I'm sure they took pictures. It's been about 4 years now, so why not just let us see them?

That Wayne Industries logo looks like the Weyland Yutani Corp. logo from the Alien Franchise.

Of course, Peter Weyland is much cooler than Bruce Wayne.

i think its funny that people say, avengers? that could work, but Justice League? no way
i guess its because everybody wants to see their favorite league member, but the avengers has 6 (7 including fury) and JLA only needs, superman, batman, wonder woman, flash, and GL, thats 5, we dont need manhunter or hawkman/girl or red tornado or aquaman or any of those, just those 5 core characters, 3 of which either have or is getting a movie, and flash is still on the way, and they already have a main villain, Darksied, a threat to earth, parademons, and big fights for every member, kaliback granny goodness, big barda, brimstone, desaad, mantis, steppenwolf etc, it also introduces the concept of new gods, and new characters, high father and orion, and it has a diverse setting, new genisis, earth, and apokolips, and if you say they cant fit all that in a 2 1/2 hour movie, justice league tv show did it twice, once in 40 mins, and once in 20, and not to mention the supergirl animated film, and if you still want to argue that audiences wouldn't accept new gods, 3 words: norse alien gods

Being an Australian i eagerly anticipated this film, George Miller is a fantastic director and from what i heard the guys at WETA (LOTR) made beautiful 'practical' costumes, they were literally weeks before shooting began.
It upsets me in the WB vault we have concept art/pre vis scenes of this whole picture :(

ps:
Anyone want to break in the WB vault? i want some Tim Burton Superman shit

For a movie tie-in game, that actually looks pretty good.

I'm sure it would've played similar to MUA. It sucks it was cancelled.

Well it sucks that this movie never got to see the light of day, oh well. But I do hope WB deliver us an awesome Justice League movie someday.

Im a big DC guy, but even I have given up all hope on WB. Waiting for all these movies to come out is literally wishing ones life away. They just take way too long and have way too many variables that can derail the film. I've gone back to my roots. Back to my hole in the wall comic book store digging through classic back issues. God I love the smell of those books. The smell of pure magic and innocents. I'm sur a good DC CBM will come our way sooner or later. But in the end it really doesn't matter.

I'm hoping if they do Justice League as a movie, they'll bring Batman in this gray suit to the big screen. It looks great in all the animated shows, it'll be a good way to depart from the Burton/Nolan styles.

And Karl Urban should play him. Just sayin'.
