Zack Snyder Hints That His Superman Will Be A Part Of JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Not a lot is known about Warner Brothers plans for a Justice League movie, but now Zack Snyder has dropped a pretty big hint that would seem to imply that Henry Cavill will be apart of those plans.

A while ago we found out that Warner Brothers would be attempting to bring their Superhero team up move, Justice League, to the big screen in 2015. A lot of questions stemmed from that announcement, such as would Zack Snyder's new Superman movie, Man Of Steel, be a part of a universe that would bring DC's biggest heroes together. Now, while talking to the NY Post, Snyder has dropped a pretty big hint to answer that question. "I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t. But ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that," he explained. When pressed a little further about it, and whether or not WB has asked him to include Man Of Steel into a larger universe like I was told back a while ago, Snyder said, " “I can’t really say anything to that, because that’s a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course.” To what extent this shared universe will be remains a mystery, but it is cool to know that DC is finally working towards what fans want.

Another bit of info is that Henry Cavill confirmed that he has signed a three picture deal with Warner Brothers. How this will work into sequels as well as a Justice League movie will be answered at a later date. Snyder however, is still only taking it one movie at a time. “We approach the film as a single endeavor. There are a lot of gears that have to turn in the world of commerce and the world of the mythology we create to facilitate more adventures for this character. We’ll see what happens.” It is, however, likely that if Man Of Steel is successful WB would want to give it a sequel.

For more on it taking Cavill 20-25 minutes to get in the suit, his diet and exercise while playing Superman, and Snyder feeling the pressure of expectations click over to the New York Post. For the latest on Man Of Steel, which stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, and will be released on June 14, 2013 check back here at CBM.

Yeah, it would be confusing if they had a new Superman in JL.

The same way you move ahead without Bale, Palicki, Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Reeve, Shipp, Reynolds, et al....

Snyders superman is gonna be sick so he should be the tent pole star of the film. And green lantern is established with a big star so Ryan should be envolved. If they got Bale back, which he said he would if Nolan was envolved, they will have a huge blockbuster. Now if they start getting new actors like that lame Armie Hammer, it's gonna be a lame duck of a movie. DC obviously don't know crap about movie look at all the previous bad DC movies. It doesn't take a heinous to see they suck. Marvel is doing it right by starting with solid single character flicks with the team movie as the goal.

WARNING: Goyer is a hack.

Goyer

If this movie turns Superman into an emotional sissified pansy, we know who to send hate mail to. Everything he touches turns into a flaming ball of s#it.

@BigBoss66 is right! "They should have done something to start a connection with the heroes in a shared universe."

If there's one director I trust to do a CBM right its gotta be Zach Snyder. And it he has a magic formula for converting corny DC characters into relatable and 'cool'CBMs then more power to him. DC and WB have failed to do this for decades and decades now.

Honestly I would prefer this movie have no ties to the Justice Leauge. Let the Justice Leauge be a seperate film with different actors with a different tone. Once you bring more heroes into the film it changes the dynamic of the universe.

It makes sense to have Henry Cavill as Superman in the JL. It wouldn't make sense to cast a new actor to play Superman in the JL. It would be confusing.

@captainjackspareribs

Marvels shared universe comes at a cost. All of their individual movies sans Iron Man are decent at best.

So captainjackspareribs, you have to ask yourself. Would you rather have decent movies leading to a good movie, or all fantastic individual films?

@kevberg have you seen ghost rider 2 because Goyer wrote that film. If it was not for the nolan bros then marvel would have the best CBM but TDK and TDKR are the two best comic book films.

also goyer made blade 3 so not say get a clue.

I really hope this movie gives us the Superman movie we deserve. I wanna see some environment-destroying, epic fight scenes. Something that hasnt been included in a Supes flick yet.

DC really could turn it around cinematically if they do justice to superman and then JL, I have the highest hopes for these flicks. I would love to see some movies the quality of Watchmen and TDK, they're obviously capable of producing the movies and have been victims of poor management. It's really confusing that marvel can be so much more organized when DC got into movie game so much earlier. I dont really care if outside of the Justice League the movies are connected, I'd settle for just decent flicks. Also I hate to see so many people preemptively trolling, I already know you'll be leaving the flick with the opinion you walked in with.

Well at least so far Man Of Steel looks like a really good movie let alone a really good Superman movie -

Henry Cavil looks like Superman
The trailer we've seen looks great
Henry Cavil actually looks like a leader
The flying seen from the trailer was quality gold

Only bummer I have is that Nolan's Batman wont be included

This is a turnaround from Snyder's comments in the past, though things can change and this can affect Snyder's position on Cavill being in JL. I am still not going to overly read into this statement.

Where's the source on Cavill signing a three film deal with WB? Up until now, all that has been reported is a solo film and who knows after that.

Luigi - 11/25/2012, 1:46 PM
If WB were smart they would just give us a World's Finest movie. The demand on message boards for JL is overwhelming but to most people, JL would be "Batman vs. Superman (plus some shitty D-listers with no or horrible movies taking their spotlight)"

If they tie in man of steel with jl they need to have Cavill playhim. If JL is its own movie universe. Then i dont care who they get to playsupes as long as he does good job.

Please WB take your time. Man of Steel already looks like it will be a masterpiece. Lets give that same treatment to Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Batman.

If MOS turns out to be a flaming turd pile, how will Snyder's, ahem, Ultraman fit in, then?

CaptainObvious - 11/25/2012, 1:52 PM
@CaptainJackSpareribs- All comic book movies before the MCU were stand alone unless they were sequels. You might as well call every director who made a superhero movie before Iron Man a douche. Besides, when Batman Begins was released, the idea of a shared universe in film even for Marvel was a stretch. At that time, it seemed like a bold and risky move that could easily fail.

Based on WB's Justice League plan, I hope Henry Cavill and Zack Snyder stay as far away from it as possible. Man Of Steel looks great, Justice League sounds shit.

I'd rather a great solo Superman trilogy starring Cavill, rather than a great solo adventure, a shitty team up movie, and then another solo film that is weighed down by, and has to deal with, the repercussions of the shitty team up.
