A while ago we found out that Warner Brothers would be attempting to bring their Superhero team up move, Justice League, to the big screen in 2015. A lot of questions stemmed from that announcement, such as would Zack Snyder's new Superman movie, Man Of Steel, be a part of a universe that would bring DC's biggest heroes together. Now, while talking to the
NY Post, Snyder has dropped a pretty big hint to answer that question.
"I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t. But ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that," he explained. When pressed a little further about it, and whether or not WB has asked him to include Man Of Steel into a larger universe like I was
told back a while ago, Snyder said,
" “I can’t really say anything to that, because that’s a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course.” To what extent this shared universe will be remains a mystery, but it is cool to know that DC is finally working towards what fans want.
Another bit of info is that Henry Cavill confirmed that he has signed a three picture deal with Warner Brothers. How this will work into sequels as well as a Justice League movie will be answered at a later date. Snyder however, is still only taking it one movie at a time.
“We approach the film as a single endeavor. There are a lot of gears that have to turn in the world of commerce and the world of the mythology we create to facilitate more adventures for this character. We’ll see what happens.” It is, however, likely that if Man Of Steel is successful WB would want to give it a sequel.
