Last week Bryan Singer took to twitter to announce that Sir Ian McKellen, and Sir Patrick Stewart will be joining the cast in X-Men Days Of Future Past. While chatting with Entertainment Weekly Stewart commented on his involvement with the film saying he knows absolutely nothing. "It’s a kind of awkward position, because lovely Bryan Singer just blurted it all out there. For me the big thrill is knowing that Bryan Singer is attached to this movie, because not only is he a brilliant director, but also I adore him and hope that it might be true and that we do work together at some point in the future. But I’m not being coy. I know nothing about this project," said Stewart. He went on to say that he hopes that will change in the near future. With filming rumored to be a couple months away it begs the question, with Stewart not knowing much about the film at this point, how much screen time will he actually get?

Another interesting tid bit of information is the fact that Stewart hasn't even signed his contract yet. When asked if all he knew was the fact that he was doing the movie he commented that he doesn't even know IF he is doing the movie or not. "I have not signed a contract yet. I know there is a project in development, but we have no dates. No detailed casting. Thrilled to hear that my dear friend and colleague Ian McKellen is on board, but I’m sorry, you know, you need to understand, I’m not being cute. I know nothing," he explained. It is rumored that the movie is scheduled to shoot around April, so to not have one of your bigger stars signed at this point is a little odd. However, based on his answers to the questions he hopes to get this all taken care of in the very near future. For the latest on X-Men: Days of Future Past make sure to check back here at CBM.

Well this is odd, singer wouldn't tweet that he's locked in without it being 100% true, otherwise fox would just debunk it wouldn't they? Its possible singer and fox announced it prematurely or entertainment weekly are misquoting him

It's possible EW are quoting him accurately and he doesn't know wtf is going on.

If Ian McKellen is onboard, there is no way possible that Stewart doesn't sign on.

I'm not worried about things. There are many things to worry about when it comes to this movie but THIS isn't one of them.

he should be in it but if we go by the x-men movie continuity he won't be in it,he was pretty much destroyed in x-men 3 well apart from his mind going into another body.

Singer attended The Hobbit premiere on Sidney and met with Ian, so this the typical case of studio not wanting the actors to speak yet.

some people can't be pleased. if singer keeps his mouth shut and does his thing, they call him an idiot who doesn't care what fans want. but if he goes on twitter and tries to connect with them, then he is an ass kisser. and my message to those people is to keep their mouth shut and just wait.

Yoss is such a great friend. That made me tear up a bit. I don't know how I'll ever repay him for all the good that he's done to me, but I sure will try.

this film won't get a penny from me. everyone keeps talking about Jean, Professor X, and Magneto and Wolverine coming back but no one is talking about CYCLOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you bring cyclops back FOX, you will get my money!!

The funniest thing is that I know that Cyclops is EXACTLY who they won't bring back, I'd bet my soul on it....FOX is always leaving something out against the fans

So Ian McKellen is officially on board, but Patrick Stewart isn't?

Bryan Singer needs to call Patrick Stewart and get this ironed out.

All Singer had to say was that he's HOPING Ian and Patrick will sign on and would have averted this mess.

See even Jackman hasn't signed on yet, so something aint right!
