Last week Bryan Singer took to twitter to announce that Sir Ian McKellen, and Sir Patrick Stewart will be joining the cast in
X-Men Days Of Future Past. While chatting with
Entertainment Weekly Stewart commented on his involvement with the film saying he knows absolutely nothing.
"It’s a kind of awkward position, because lovely Bryan Singer just blurted it all out there. For me the big thrill is knowing that Bryan Singer is attached to this movie, because not only is he a brilliant director, but also I adore him and hope that it might be true and that we do work together at some point in the future. But I’m not being coy. I know nothing about this project," said Stewart. He went on to say that he hopes that will change in the near future. With filming rumored to be a couple months away it begs the question, with Stewart not knowing much about the film at this point, how much screen time will he actually get?
Another interesting tid bit of information is the fact that Stewart hasn't even signed his contract yet. When asked if all he knew was the fact that he was doing the movie he commented that he doesn't even know
IF he is doing the movie or not.
"I have not signed a contract yet. I know there is a project in development, but we have no dates. No detailed casting. Thrilled to hear that my dear friend and colleague Ian McKellen is on board, but I’m sorry, you know, you need to understand, I’m not being cute. I know nothing," he explained. It is rumored that the movie is scheduled to shoot around April, so to not have one of your bigger stars signed at this point is a little odd. However, based on his answers to the questions he hopes to get this all taken care of in the very near future. For the latest on
