New Behind The Scenes Photo From MAN OF STEEL

New Behind The Scenes Photo From MAN OF STEEL

A new behind the scenes photo has been sent our way from the upcoming Zack Snyder directed Superman movie, Man Of Steel. The photo features Henry Cavill in full Supersuit, along with Michael Shannon. Warning may be considered a little spoilerish.

With the movie set to come out in less than six months, Man Of Steel wrapped principle photography some time ago. However, we have been sent a new set image from the movie that was taken while the film was being shot in Plano, Illinois. The shot is of Henry Caill as Superman, and Michael Shannon as Zod, in a motion capture suit, taking a break from filming. If you look in the background there is also some destruction of the 7-11. Bare in mind this photo may be considered by some to contain spoilers.

Additionally, I have been told that the Man Of Steel Fan art that was posted a couple of days ago was NOT fan made. It is a leaked promotional shot of Cavill. Warner Brothers has been making the rounds taking the photo down. For the latest on all things Man Of Steel, check back here at CBM.

I don't think this film will make a billion like some believe. That being said, for a much as I loathe Superman and as much as I really don't care for Zack Snyder. I'm actually getting really excited for this movie. Also, I don't find it true that Marvel is style over substance and DC isn't. Cause that my friend is bullshit. If there is a lot of action scenes, it automatically makes it style over substance? Just saying. I hope (even though its pretty much guaranteed) that Man of Steel starts a cinematic universe. Plus, Marvel needs some competition in film from DC.

Henry is so Superman, Shannon is tired and needs a seat. Superman is a G and sitting is for pussies.

Also, no one seems to be paying attention to the real news...this is how the suit will look in the movie.

I hope all the "the suit is too dark" bungholes will nut up now. Blue, vibrant red and bold yellow!!!

I can't get over how much Cavill looks like Superman. It blows my mind to see him just standing in a [frick]ing window of all things.

**Spoiler alert**

4 months till release. That great and I like a whole lot of stuff is not getting out from the movie. Will be more enjoyable and people cant put spoilerish stuff in their titles.
CavEl
CavEl - 2/12/2013, 9:35 AM
@ Ocelot - There are 4 fight scenes in this movie, and I can't keep count on how many action scenes are there.

Fight scenes -

1.) Zod vs. Jor-El
2.) Clark vs. Faora
3.) Superman vs. Zod & Faora in Metropolis
4.) Superman vs. Zod and Faora in Smallville

Action scenes...

1.) Alaska oil rig
2.) Smallville tornado
3.) Superman's first appearance
4.) Clark saves Lois in Metropolis
5.) Military tries to take down Superman

Those are just the ones that have leaked. This movie is going to be balls to the wall action! And for the people who are asking for a new trailer...Iron Man 3 is when the next trailer comes out and promotion fully begins.

@ Lizard1 - Marvel movies are style over substances because their movies are pretty formulaic. They follow a similar sequence and they don't really teach anything or offer the audience more to digest.

The deepest moment in Marvel's phase 1 was Cap on the plane saying goodbye, but that was Marvel's ONLY heart tugging moment in phase 1.

Can't wait for this...I was on board for Justice League to follow, but now I feel they should hold off, Superman can lead into a shared universe, just dont have to go right into the League...think it should be a slow build like I said in another thread, and doesn't have to be a bunch of solos, can lead like the post the other day into a World's Finest...then can expand to WW and introduce Darkseid and then bring in the rest of the team...
EdgyOutsider
EdgyOutsider - 2/12/2013, 10:07 AM
@PatriotsSuperGuy: So? They are still very good movies. I guarantee you that DC (not hating, honestly am not) will be formulaic in some way too.

Not even excited for this after seeing the latest trailer. Unless the next trailer is mindboggling good, it's gonna be a Redbox for me.

This in no way will suck. It will be the start of something great for DC and Warner Bros. It will also be the beginning of Justice League as well. It will make enough to constitute a sequel, as well as a Justice League movie.
RichardHedski
RichardHedski - 2/12/2013, 10:17 AM
I don't think this movie will be all that. They should have followed up Superman Returns. The sequel to that I'm sure was going to be action packed but no all the butthurt fanboys whined about Singer's Supes not throwing any punches.
CavEl
CavEl - 2/12/2013, 10:18 AM
@ bbarber - I don't think Marvel movies are of substance, big deal. I can have an opinion, I didn't insult them. Find me another tear jerking moment in from phase 1 that made you say wow.

@ Lizard1 - Never said they were bad, I said they were formulaic. Maybe it was because they were all origins, but they didn't stray from the same sequence. And I hope not, that's why I hope DC keeps their movies independent and have them act like they don't exist in the same realm unless they need to interact. Like in the comics, whenever Superman is facing an alien invasion, a GL doesn't show up and isn't mentioned. When a crossover is needed, Superman mentions them.
CavEl
CavEl - 2/12/2013, 10:20 AM
@ OhThePurdue - You lose all credibility the moment you mention Singer's Superman sequel would've been any better than this. Singer had Superman killing his bastard son...that's like Superman rule number 1.

Suit is too dark. if it looked like this

I'd be on board. Perfect coloting, looks way better without the all that weird shit around the waist, no bracelets. That would be a great reimagining. Saddens me they missed the mark.

Love the bright red/yellow emblem there.
