The reveal of the so-called real Lobo during last year's "Villains Month" caused a lot of controversy among comic book fans, so whether they'll embrace this new series remains to be seen. The official announcement reads, "If you find yourself rooting for the villains as much as the heroes, there’s a new series from Eisner Award-nominated writer Cullen Bunn and artist Reilly Brown coming your way: LOBO. The all-new Lobo brings the ultraviolence to this new ongoing solo series! But we'll also learn about the man behind the violence." Also announced by DC Comics today is Trinity of Sin from writer J.M. DeMatteis with art by Yvel Guichet and Jason Gordon. Forced to work together, this series picks up with the characters Pandora and the Stranger, following the ending of their solo series in September, and brings in The Question on a quest to save humanity and uncover the darkest secrets of the universe. What do you guys think of these?

I don't post often here anymore, but when I read that we'd get a new Lobo series, I've got all kinds of excited, because Lobo could honestly become one of the most popular and cool DC characters once again, if done right.

Then I get to be reminded that DC approved this travestity. What a [frick]ing joke.

I'm not a fan of the new Lobo. So that will be a pass. But the team up of Pandora, Phantom Stranger & the Question is a cool one. I hope to see some great stories come from that group.

Took me a minute to realize that thin string is the new Lobo 'chain and hook' weapon. I didn't even notice the hook. It's like more of a fishing line.

They really stream-lined the character. He's actually unrecognizable.
Looking like this though, he can't have the same 'crazed Biker' personality anymore because it doesn't fit so I wonder what he's like now.

Something about him makes me think 'swashbuckling pirate'...and I don't know why?

Is anyone really surprised by this DC has already shown they want all of their characters to be hot and attractive I mean look what they did to Amanda Waller in the New 52

So why not do the same thing to Lobo making him into a teenage girl wet dream pretty boy anime character.

Oh and by the way does Lobo look so boring and unoriginal now as a character. His design just yells out generic fanfic sword wielding anime type character you could find anywhere on the internet.

Wow, this might be the most egregious example a comic conforming its art in order to fit the comicbook movie genre as opposed to letting hollywood get creative and adapting it for the big screen. I guess the thought here is that a handsome/charming antihero can make the jump to the big screen much easier and be more commerically viable than the original Lobo.

I know i'm in the minority but I love the new look of LOBO he looks more like what I picture as a bounty hunter to look like a mix between Han Solo and Boba Fett

I want the real Lobo, the Lobo that was a parody of the 90's comic book characters or else just [frick] off.

@Jollem people are dumb this is the "Real" Lobo and the other is still gallivanting around the galaxy but no one wants to hear that I'm with ya man

What they've done to Waller disgusts me and not keen on Lobo either. I prefer it when he's played as more of a vicious bounty hunter with a dark humor as oppose to [frick]ing comic relief, but his appearance has mostly always been good.

I'm liking the new Lobo personally and look forward to his run in with the old/original/"fake" Lobo that we've known for the last few decades

Fans should put the pressure on DC to get rid of this metrosexual Lobo and bring back the Lobo everyone knows and loves.

I agree with what someone said with this new Lobo was first introduced. Lobo was introduced in the 90's as a parody of macho action heroes, so why wouldn't this new one parody the new trend of pretty boy killers? I approve, especially this "i'm the real Lobo" dynamic
