James Gunn Dismisses GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: PLANET HULK Rumors As "Bullsh*t"
Guardians of the Galaxy director has completely debunked rumours and speculation that the sequel will feature the Hulk in a loose Planet Hulk adaptation, stating that: "I wouldn't want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! It's complete bullsh*t!"
We've seen a lot of rumours about a possible Planet Hulk movie, and lot of denials as well. Both Kevin Feige and Mark Ruffalo have dismissed such a movie due to the fact that it would result in almost no screentime for Bruce Banner, but a recent report claimed that the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel would feature some huge plot elements from that series based on some spoilery details they claimed to have about the ending of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
In a recent interview with The Playlist, the site asked director James Gunn about these rumours and he made it clear exactly what he thinks of them.
"I can answer that question very easily: it is absolute, 100% bullshit. It feels like a great relief to finally say this after all the dumb stuff on the Internet.""There's not going to be a 'Planet Hulk' movie, there was never going to be a 'Planet Hulk' movie, there was never plan for the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy – I wouldn't want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it's all a bunch of complete bullshit."
The director then went on to discuss the reasons for the Sakaaran being used in the movie, reiterating the fact that they're only there because Marvel don't own the Badoon. Find his comments on that by clicking the link below. How do you guys feel about no Planet Hulk?
