VIDEO GAMES: Norman Reedus Stars In Guillermo del Toro And Hideo Kojima's SILENT HILL

The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus (better known as Daryl Dixon) is the latest actor to play a photo-realistic version of himself in a video game. A new Silent Hill was announced at the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany earlier today, and the trailer below features the star of the AMC series before the reveal of the game's logo. Further blurring the line between movies and video games is the fact that Pacific Rim helmer Guillermo del Toro is developing this new Silent Hill, and he will be joined by Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima. is this a "come buy this partial(demo)game" starring norman reedus to wet your interest only to wait another year or more for an actual silent hill full title? ala mgs5/kiefer sutherland.

why even waste time making something like this instead of putting full effort into the main title? money?

OK so this peeks my interest so I need to now know if this is the type of game I can play with no prior knowledge of the franchise outside of some of the plot of the first game.
