We already know that Chris Pratt is a pretty down to Earth and all-round nice guy, but the fact that he stole his costume from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy in order to put it to such good use gives you all the confirmation you'll ever need that he's one of Hollywood's best. Back when he was promoting the movie, Pratt said: "I would love to go if it was a big enough movie to where it would mean something to a kid who was sick, in a hospital, for Peter Quill or Star-Lord to come visit them, I would do that. I think that’s awesome, man. That would be – that would give me real meaning for this movie, you know? Right now it means “high profile,” “cool jobs coming up,” “big press tour” and all the excitement of it all, but none of that really means anything. The coolest thing would be that my son can one day see this and that maybe I could go affect some kids in a positive way and be a good role model for them." Well, courtesy of E! Online/The Wrap, here's the story (and a pretty great photo) of what happened next...
According to the site, Pratt worked with Marvel and Children's Miracle Network Hospital to set up a special screening of Guardians of the Galaxy for patients at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. He would then go on to spend a whopping three hours in costume as Star-Lord, handing out toys, taking photos, signing autographs, and talking with patients (he even visited those in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases and the Pediatric ICU who were too sick to attend the screening). Despite being there to represent Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy, the actor spent a little extra time with a fan of The LEGO Movie reciting lines from the hit animated flick. More details can be found by clicking the link below, but I think it's fair to say that Chris Pratt is definitely one of the coolest people in the Galaxy...
