"Star Wars Rebels" continues the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. The clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost is amongst a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.

Star Wars Rebels takes place between Star Wars: Episode III and IV as the Empire tightens its grip on the galaxy and a rebellion begins to form. Executive produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman. The series is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel and will be followed by a series on Disney XD early next year.

Star wars was always made for the children. Somehow so many people keep forgetting that. This show will be great, the people working on it are awesome.

I was against this show at first. But then I heard that the villains are played by David Oyelowo and Jason Isaacs...yeah I'm giving it a chance.

This won't live up to the Clone Wars. Not by a long shot. This looks extremely campy, exactly what you'd expect from Disney XD.

I wish Cartoon Network could have bought the rights back, for TV Star Wars at least.

Oh just stop it with this kiddie related shit! - even Clone Wars wasn't this kiddie-friendly lame. New characters (all clichés), and then at 18secs in on the 3rd movie (surprise surprise) a new weapon, a laser slingshot.... why the **** do these idiot creatives think StarWars fans are impressed by throwing in a new weapon type into an established universe?, ok so everyone lost their shit over Darth Maul's double-ender in his introduction in the (terrible) Phantom Menance film, but a laser slingshot? - really? *facepalm*

AAAAHHHH ! - STARWARS NERDRAAAAGE !

*Brain aneurysm*

The only real thing about the cast I don't like is Freddie Prinze Jr as a freaking Jedi. I'm sorry, I don't care what you idiots think, you CANNOT convince me that Freddie freakin Prize Jr is a jedi!
