When you think of beautiful redheads, it's likely that former Doctor Who star Karen Gillan will come to mind almost instantly. It was a shock then when the Scottish actress revealed at last year's San Diego Comic-Con that she had shaved her head for the role of Nebula in Marvel and James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, and a video of her doing just that has now found its way online. 

You have to imagine that Gillan could have got away with NOT shaving her head for the role, but the fact that she was willing to is pretty damn cool. Whether she'll do the same again for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 remains to be seen of course! What do you guys think? Sound off below!

It was worth it. She was one of the very best things in the movie. First time I've ever seen someone actually pull off the whole "pure black eyes" thing & make it work. She was great.

You know, @MediaMan, I never thought about it, but she is the first person to pull off the "black eyes" look without me having a vehement reaction.

The old "abduction" days coming back to haunt me, I guess...

@bropous - yep, I've seen the whole "completely black eyes" thing before, but it's never been believable. She really made it work, which I'm sure wasn't easy. She REALLY sold it. I hope she comes back.

Nebula could of been such a cool character, but instead they made her into a one dimensional sidekick villian. Total miscast. Props on her shaving her head, but she could of put more emotion in her role.
