A Familiar Face From GAME OF THRONES Joins STAR WARS EPISODE VII Cast

The cast of Star Wars Episode VII continues to grow, and the latest addition to the movie is someone who should be very familiar to fans of Game of Thrones. Will Miltos Yerolemou (a.k.a. Syrio Forel) have any advice on wielding a lightsaber, I wonder? Read on for details!

Miltos Yerolemou had a memorable role in the first season of Game of Thrones as Arya Stark's mentor, and now BBC News reports that the actor has joined the cast of Star Wars Episode VII. He taught Arya how to properly wield a blade and is in fact an accomplished swordsman away from Westeros as well, so it would be a huge surprise if those skills aren't put to good use in the J.J. Abrams helmed follow-up to Return of the Jedi. However, the site cautions that his role won't be a major one (though that doesn't necessarily mean we won't see him using a lightsaber at some point...). He of course joins fellow Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, and just because his role in this instalment is a small one, there's also nothing to say that he won't return for a bigger part in Rian Johnson's Star Wars Episode IX. We'll have to wait and see! What do you guys think?
