Ben Affleck On Playing The Caped Crusader IN BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

In an interview to promote David Fincher's Gone Girl, Ben Affleck reveals what makes Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice different to his past roles, along with his love of the script, director and more! Also, does this set photo reveal Bruce Wayne's fancy new ride in the movie?

In an interview with the Boston Globe (via @HenryCavillNews), Ben Affleck has talked a little more about taking on the role of The Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. When asked about how filming is going and whether he's shooting the movie at the moment, the Gone Girl star and Argo director said, "I sure am. Well, I’m not on the set right now. We’re shooting nights and it’s before work, but I’m in Detroit." Shooting nights? You can't help but wonder whether or not Affleck was referring to those Batmobile scenes (see the photos here if you missed them). Can you imagine if we'd had photos of him fully suited up in the iconic vehicle?

When asked to divulge some details on the highly anticipated movie however, Affleck would only say: "I can tell you that I’m very excited and it’s very exciting. I can tell you that in my entire career, I haven’t had so many people come up to me and say how much they’re looking forward to the movie. Naturally, that’s a lot of pressure, but I love the script, I love the director, I love the studio. I’m very much looking forward to it, but it’s two years away so it probably doesn’t bear talking about anymore." Uh-oh! Sounds like we probably shouldn't expect to hear too much more from the actor about Batman v Superman while he promotes Gone Girl this week then. Oh well, at least we have photos like this and a possible first look at Wayne Manor to keep us going!

Sorry Ben, but it's only going to get worse from this point on. Up until the release of the film (and then some) he'll be bombarded with questions about Dawn of Justice.

Guys, I really feel like Ben is going to own this role. Gone Girl looks like it's going to be a winner as well. Many great things are in store for this man. Also hearing that he loves the script is another great addition too. 2016 is going to be a phenomenal year to remember. Just think about it, we're living in the REAL "comic book movie boom" era.

Really hope they don't wait too long to start working on the Batman Reboot. I'm ready to see Freeze, Poison Ivy, Clayface, Harvey Dent, Scarface, Killer Croc and most certainly Joker in this new franchise!

@DrKinsolving

Totally agreed, 2015 will be a spoiler galore! lol Just avoid reading ALL of the comments in the comment sections and resist the spoilers article reveals. That's what I did with Guardians and I had a really good time being surprised by some of the stuff in the film.

@TheRationalNerd Besides seeing Ben Affleck act, I want to see if Tyler Perry can really cause he's in Gone Girl and I don't usually see him in these types of movies.

True, haha, I always try to avoid the spoilers.... It makes everything better and unexpected. Can't wait for this movie, not only just for Batman, there's going to be a lot of easter eggs for future characters, stories, ect.... The "DCCU" is finally going to get rolling....

I also can't wait to see this interpretation of Batman, which could by far be the best ever because it won't be restricted to realism.... We could actually see a "comic worthy" Batman, which will open his universe up, I'm actually hoping that eventually, we get to see characters like Bane, Hush, Riddler, Strange, Scarecrow, Ra's, ect on the big screen, with more influence from the comics....

And of course, I can't wait to finally see The Joker make his return to the big screen again

I don't really see a franchise being made because Ben is pretty up there in age you can only expect at least one solo for them from him. He's going to do at least three Justice league movies maybe two and I know he's Going to do a sequel to batman vs Superman so I don't expect a lot of solo Batman films not even three. They either have to do the battle for the Cowl storyline or maybe a Batman beyond variation but it's like the Peter Parker problem does WB want anyone else but Bruce Wayne playing Batman? Going with an age the Batman is kind of risky it has its benefits but also has negative points when it comes to the future of creating a solo franchise. To see how the fight scenes will go because of because as of right now cinematic Capt. America can kick Batman's ass. Capt. America two fight scenes were the best fight scenes I've ever seen any comic book film. And you know Captain america three is going to up the ante tremendously. I'm excited for Bama versus Superman but I'm also a little scared as to what might happen. Trust Affleck as Batman I trust Amy Adams As Lois Lane, Lawrence Fishburne as well but I'm still on the fence about Henry Cavill. He was kind of a wooden and Man of steel. And I trust Snyder when it to comes to visual effects and style, but not on story; he's a solid but not great. I kind a wish Affleck was directing this and I hope he directs the bat me a solo film. I wish DC would vary up their directors they got Snyder doing this and Justice league and possibly the next Superman sequel that's a lot

Yes and he was older then Affleck when he started. Besides, with a mask wearing guys like Batman and Iron Man, all you need is a good stunt double and camera work, its not like anyone expects these guys to actually do the fighting choreography.

@Batman52. I agree about Tyler Perry. I'm ready to see him take on a solid role.

I'm (along with my non CBM fan girlfriend) also excited for Gone Girl period. I'm watching Prisoners to hold me off till October 3rd.

As far as Dawn of Justice, just saw DCAU The Dark Knight Returns Deluxe last night. Amazing!!! If Affleck is anything like that in BvS OMFG it gonna be nuts!

Lol, I noticed that Tyler Perry was in Gone Girl as well. I really do to expect him to be "screaming with tears as he cast his hands to the moonlight" lol but I do think he'll be a decent additional role to the film. Perry was in Star Trek with about 2-3 lines (meh) and he was in "I Alex Cross" but just looking at the trailers for the film made it Cringeworthy for me, whenever he yells you can literally almost here Madea come out, unless he's adding bass in his voice. lol But yeah I think he'll be pretty decent.
