I look forward to this. They always return to the status quo at some point, so why not experiment now and again?

Digging that "Thor" logo on the cover. I see what they did there and they did it well.

"Mjolnor"

Wait, did They already say it wasn't going to be Valkyrie???
Also:

1) If he was so ashamed of this "unworthy" moment of time, why keep the book? (Which I'm glad he did or else his granddaughters would have never found it, and we might not have known of this female Thor)

2) Odin could be partially to blame for this, if he was the one to originate whatever it was that Fury whispered into Thor's ear.

I can't wait to see how Thor loses that arm. Maybe a Frost Giant takes it.

I can't wait for a bunch of people who don't read the comics to chime in with their unwarranted, impotent fanboy outrage...

Aaron's Thor run has been epic and awesome. This looks like a great time. Count me in.

Who was the Thor before Thor?

After this story is done, give the granddaughters their own series. Getting away from Grandpa Thor and traveling through the universe.

@Rpendo
Most of the rage stems from people misunderstanding that Thor himself is not having a sex change.

@Rependo: Chiming in. And I've read the comics for a very, very, long time.

While in keeping with standard Marvel "cheap pop" practice, this is garbage.

And thanks again to Fraction for "Asgardia."

Hilarious. Marvel wanted her to be just Thor not "Thorita" not "Lady Thor" nor "Female Thor." Still people will call her the "Female God of Thunder" rather than just "God of Thunder"

@MantiniuMan

I'd be fine with a Female Zeus. It would be cool.

Would the female Zeus act like Zeus and go [frick] everyone and then have kids with them?

And the male Hera would get mad every time?

Honestly... This looks fantastic.

And I gotta agree with @MonsterSquad35, that cover logo is badass. Using Mjolnir for the H and O is awesome.

Haha literally every Greek tragedy involving the gods could've been avoided if Zeus had just kept it in his pants. A female version of Zeus would be ridiculously entertaining!

SauronsBANE - 9/29/2014, 7:31 AM
And thank GOD Marvel decided to just make a female Thor rather than naming her "Thorita" or "Lady Thor" or anything like that. That would've been awful.

@MercwithMouth - I don't know about that logo. I think it looks sloppy.

@Primordiac - I agree. "Thor" isn't a title. It's someone's friggin' name !
Still, I will check this title out. I've not read every issue
until now to just gove up ^_^

I'm guessing the new "Thor" is (SPOILER ???) Frigga ?
What other woman would be worthy at this point ?

@JorL5150 - Hahahaha, was thinking the same thing.

@silverhawk - Was thinking the same thing too, oh well they've been screwing Thor over since Rulk came on the scene.

@RetroFit - Odin could say either one really, and he kind of did.
