2015 is an exciting time for Star Wars fans as Marvel kick off the year with Star Wars #1, a new series set following the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, taking fans back to the days following the destruction of the first Death Star, as the beloved characters from the iconic trilogy forge ahead for brand new adventures! Following that book will be Star Wars: Darth Vader #1 in February and Star Wars: Princess Leia #1 in March. "[When] I was offered the opportunity to do this cover I was both thrilled beyond belief and as nervous as I was when I did my very first professional work over twenty years ago," Marvel COO told StarWars.com about providing this variant cover. "To have the opportunity to illustrate the classic cast members in one piece has been by far one of the highlights of my career as an artist. I can only hope that it turned out okay and that maybe, just maybe, I get the chance to do it again someday." What do you think?

Quesada only does passable art when he can rip off Todd McFarlane and do Spider-Man or Daredevil.

But McFarlane never did Star Wars art, so Quesada is at a loss.

What Marvel should've done was use Art Adams instead of Quesada. I would say McFarlane but Marvel is too butthurt to ask him.

Instead Quesada excretes out this generic shit. We have the 1st Ass-Shot of Chewbacca. Han, Luke and Leia looking down while someone is flying off with the Falcon and the threat is to their right.
And at a glace those smoke trails look like tree branches.

I never liked Dark Horse's comics but they would've done better than that.

@espoirgars- You really think Vader is all that? There is One who would beg to differ. But then DOOM does not beg.

By far the dumbest comment I have ever read on a site with almost nothing but dumb comments. Congratulations.

Found a better image of that Alex Ross Doom/Vader art.

@DTor91 Is that the best you can do? A copy and paste comment with some mediocre babble of a sentence at the end?

AlphaandDecima liked that childish and simplistic tactic before he was banned. I have to wonder if you're the same person. Hard to believe 2 people with such meager and similar blatherings could exist.

I don't think he should be bending his legs like that unless he's doing something on a skateboard or something like that. Is Leiah down on one knee?

We all understand that it's 3 pictures layered, right? The first being the Falcon, the second being Darth and his troop, and the third is the hero shot. He starts good but gets progressively worse imho, but what do I know. I can't draw a stick figure.

I zoomed in and was admiring the detail when I noticed Chewy is missing a patch of fur on his elbow and has a too human looking hand. I like the Falcon and Vader stuff, but the heroes just feel kind of an afterthought which is odd being they are in the forefront. Good art suffering from bad composition maybe? The Chewy stuff is buggin me though.

Correction! Not missing fur on the elbow. Just his human looking right hand fingers!
